The Latest: 4 guns used in California shooting were purchased legally, 1 buyer investigated

FOXNews so take it with a grain of salt, but if it's true then maybe the purchaser is a possible lead.

If this was an attack organized by any group they should have claimed responsibility by now. Even the attention whores in Daesh haven't made any public announcements about it.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

The FBI has apparently taken over the investigation (source: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/pos ... 14-people/ ) and they are still exploring possible connections to international terrorist groups. So it hasn't been ruled out.

My personal opinion is that this will turn out to be similar to the 2009 Ft. Hood shootings (a combination of a workplace dispute and radicalization).

People with no information, with no real access to information, except what the media carefully doles out, keep trying to put their unique political crap spin on the shootings. Meanwhile, my friend is still unaccounted for. He wasn't among the wounded and, apparently wasn't among the dead, either.

What you all seem to be having trouble with is that, when it's a friend or friends, politics is crap. A friend is missing, politics be hanged.

No, I read it. What I'm not seeing is where people told him to sit and spin, or shut up and go away.

He didn't link to where a lot of people were pointing and laughing, or anything rude.

Flouncing in and telling everyone that we don't understand his pain isn't exactly the best way to garner a polite response.

The male suspect had personal issues with his co-workers. He showed up at the Christmas party prior to the shooting and there was some kind of altercation between him and some of the party-goers.

So it is possible that had something to do with it. On the other hand, some of the other party-goers have described him as reserved and not suspicious to the media. In any case, the terrorist angle shouldn't be left out. They have a number of great leads in the investigation, since they've cleared their apartment and are going through any computers/literature they had. They also have the name of the person who purchased the firearms, so they will be looking for and questioning him.

They interviewed his father, and apparently Farook had become very religious over the past few years; he grew out a beard, started wearing religious clothing and traveled to Saudi Arabia, where he met the other suspect. That suggests some radicalization could have happened prior to the shooting (though that can also not be related).

Screw you asshole. I just found out, my friend is dead. He was one of the best people I knew, worth about 20 of people like you. He's dead. Screw your politics. Personal issue, you bet. It's when it becomes personal that it becomes real. Otherwise what you all are doing is just mental masturbation.

Oh please. This isn't a thread dedicated to one person's supposed grief and/or suffering.

We're discussing the entire event, and turning this into everyone pay attention to person A isn't going to do piss-all except give people warm fuzzies.

I'm sorry imsogone.

Also, to everyone else, that offer is not now nor likely to be ever open.

That said, my condolences.

I don't think it's entirely irrelevant. He's not trying to make the topic about him.

I used to live there, and while I don't directly know anyone who was a victim, some of my friends and acquaintances at work do. So I feel for him.

Easy there. You should know NSG is not a place for consolation. Too many hipsters.

I would take a break for now. Leave it to telegrams.

*edit* Sorry. My reading skills are weak today.

Like Galo; I will chat with you as well. I know your pain as a cousin was a police officer and died in the line of duty a few months ago......
