Which won't stop right-wing media from calling it a terrorist act, and Daesh would be more than happy to claim responsibility. Hell, this was so predictable the Council on Islamic-American Relations pre-emptively staged a condemnation press conference.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.

If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

From LA times:

"Co-workers told The Times that they were shocked to hear Farook’s name linked to the shooting. Two health department employees who were in the bathroom when the bullets began to fly said Farook was quiet and polite, with no obvious grudges.

They said Farook had traveled to Saudi Arabia and returned with a new wife he met online. The couple had a baby and appeared to be “living the American dream,” said Patrick Baccari, a fellow food inspector who shared a cubicle with Farook.

Baccari and Christian Nwadike said Farook, who worked with them for about three years, rarely started a conversation. But the tall, thin, young man with a full beard was well-liked and spent much of his time out in the field."

There is so much that just seems not right with this. Something is missing from this story.

Female suspect has also been identified as well as Tashfeen Malik.

Going on from the current news, I'm basing this might be a going postal situation.

I have seen a lot of motivations suggested, but none really fit. That is the missing piece: the motivation.

Literally anything could fit in as a motive.

Like, did his time in Saudi Arabia influence him? Did he have a work-based motive against the county? Or was it just an incident of bad luck that the county meeting happened to be going on when they decided to attack?

Do you have a source for the name: Tashfeen Malik ?

Several people have been sharing various names for the other attackers but none of them seem to be confirmed by any reliable source.

It seems like a daily occurrence. This time at a center for people with developmental disabilities in California. What's next? We are the only developed nation were this happens on a regular basis. What's it going to take for it to stop? We have become numb to this. We shouldn't. Its unacceptable that our leaders bow down to a fringe group like the NRA. More guns and less regulation won't solve anything. Syrian refugees and bogus witch hunts on Planned Parenthood and in person voter fraud aren't a problem. This is! I hope and pray something is done but I have little faith anything will change until groups like the nra are shut out of the political process in the United States.

Europe has more terrorists attacks than the US, yet in most countries having guns is banned (to be precisely is very difficult to acquire it as you need a licence which is very hard to get and I think your left wants to do the same). So you do not have to be ashamed of anything?

Watching the CNN news, one of the FBI investigators there gave a press conference where they mentioned her name.

Yeah, I would say that any amount of mass shootings is something to be ashamed, whether in America or in Europe.

Yep. This could be a legitimate case of Disgruntled Employee and it'll still be labeled a terrorist attack because the gunmen had Arabic names.

Malik apparently had an on/off relationship with one of the suspects, although this is still unsubstantiated.

Could have been pre-planned that was exacerbated by the Christmas party thing, or a prior event possibly.

I'll admit, it's like what Jim has said: it's pretty hard to place a good motive when we have nothing to place it on.

Actually depending on the definition of mass shooting you use, it'd be the 355th this year and only 1 out of 2 that occurred today.

"A law enforcement official told The Associated Press that Syed Farook,28, was one of the suspects in the shooting. The second suspect was identified as Tashfeen Malik, 27. Police said the pair were believed to have had a romantic relationship with one another."

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/national ... ino/npbQ9/

I hate to sound like a gossip but... If Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik were having a romantic relationship, but Syed Farook was married to and had a 1 year old child with his wife he met online...

Was Syed Farook cheating with Tashfeen Malik?

I wonder if someone at his work somehow spilled the beans to his wife? Weird and totally unsubstantiated guess but no less valid than any of the others being thrown around until we get the real reason.

If they staged the mass shooting to make it look like terrorism and cover up their affair, this would manage to top that one congresswoman whose lover plotted to declare he had a gay affair himself to cover up their relationship.

"CAIR director: Syed Farook and his wife left their 6-month-old baby with his mom Wednesday morning, saying they had a doctor's appointment."

Boo hoo, too bad, so sad.
Now for the next shooting, I bet there'll be another one just before Christmas, maybe a hospital this time, they haven't tried a mass shooting in a hospital yet so that'll be a new one that I can at the very least feel a tiny bit of sympathy for.
