So you are going to be banning the sale/public display of films, books, and songs, and decorations that make reference to Santa Claus?

If the ban could go that far, yes.

The ban was only one proposed means to end the unethical cultural practice of Santa. There are other means to phase out Santa.

You only answered one of them though.

I answered those sufficiently as the ban was merely one proposed means to phase out Santa. The details of the ban would be up to the legislators.

That is how it usually works. Pet peeve threads such as these never bring forth satisfying answers, just petty squabbling that can go on for dozens of pages.

Except I did it answer it sufficiently.

The religion threads are elsewhere.

Pretty much. People only ever answer the soft questions that might agree with them and ignore the ones that actually challenge their beliefs.

Not noticing a question isn't the same as ignoring a question. Furthermore, the questions were answered sufficiently.

But, legislators don't just vote on a ban with no evidence so...answer the questions about how Santa has hurt society and the question about if, you had too, write a 5 to 10 page length paper on why Santa should be banned?

Except it doesn't. When has a parent ever not given their child a gift, and told the child that Santa must've thought the child was naughty this year?

That's only in an unusual case. Most parents get their child or children to learn, before they are given gifts.

No, most parents give children gifts regardless of how they behaved during the year.

I've honestly never heard of a child actually not getting anything for Sinterklaas. Not for being naughty, anyway.

Not in my area, at least. I don't know in which area you live.
However, are parents doing their duty to their children, if they are spoiling them?

Can we replace him with Krampus?

No.. wait, that would be a great idea.

It's perfectly normal. Parents aren't doing their job, if they are not disciplining their children.

I personally prefer Horror-based Krampus stuff, but if you put "Krampuskarten" into Google images it'll turn up some alternative interpretations.
