Meh I have no love for Liberal Democracy, A Classical Republic is what I prefer which none of those countries are.

What do you mean by "Classical Republic"? Rome?

It's more a hypothetical state than anything else, but yes the Roman REPUBLIC(not the empire) is in part an inspiration alongside the ideas of Niccolò Machiavelli and Plato's Republic. An Authoritarian Corporatist Directorial Constitutional Republic, which is preferably a city-state, with an emphasis on civic virtue rather than on commerce and with the civic-republican(active citizen) rather than liberal-individualist(passive citizen) conception of citizenship as an ideal would be what I find ideal more or less.

I see. One could argue that such a state would be rather unpleasant to live in though; individuality and civic liberties are quite important tenets.

I am a collectivist, that and stability and virtue are most important things for me rather than liberty(though there will be some in moderation) for the most part. We will have free healthcare and tertiary education

We already have free healthcare and tertiary education where I come from and we're not an Authoritarian Corporatist Directorial Constitutional Republic. The US can get those while remaining a liberal democratic republic.

The United States is more of an elite democracy rather than a pure oligarchy: the people have what are still free votes, but in practice they are only given a choice between members of an elite class.

It should be evident just by looking at the cost of campaigning for a presidential nomination that the title of POTUS is really only open to the wealthy elite. Same goes for most other positions.

USA has been an oligarchy from it's very inception - originally, voting rights were, after all, reserved for White land-owning men, and even general emancipation did little to change things. Being elected to a political office in the States still requires considerable means far above those of the average citizen, effectively restricting access to political power to a small circle of people with the means and connections.

In the meantime, voting is the only political activity expected or desired from the ordinary citizen in order to legitimize the oligarchic government in public eyes and create an illusion of universal suffrage.

I suppose the same is true in pretty much every other "democratic" republic.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

The more God in one's mouth, the less in one's heart.

Yep, America is an oligarchy. You rarely see a politician who is not looking out for their own interests, and their interests usually involve more money for them. Whether its from lobbyists, or by tax cuts for themselves. That was not sarcasm
