Japanese cities tend to be remarkably clean, apparently. Maybe we shouldn't find it amusing that they respond to our street garbage in such a way. It seems more like a reason to be ashamed.

I try to recycle but I'm not perfect. If anyone is to blame it's the garbage people; they make everyone late and half the time they're tardy themselves when it comes to picking up rubbish. You wouldn't believe the size of some of those mountains of trash here.

Over here in the Netherlands, we've got special underground containers in the streets where you can deposit your glass and paper. Many stores have special bins where you can deposit your old batteries, lightbulbs and stuff like that. I know that in large parts of the USA recycling is more a buzzword than something that actually happens.

Jesus being the savior according to Jewish prophecy isn't related to the question "Are Catholics Christians?" The OP itself makes that necessary assumption that Christ was the Messiah.
