Yes, in 2001, he was in another party (the VVD, a conservative-liberal party) that limited his ability to discriminate. But later, we saw his real face - when he established the new PVV - as a hate spreading man. Really, he is not to be trusted.

I don't really see that at all. Hollande has acted aggressive militarily. France and Switzerland both enacted laws aimed at culturally and religiously limiting Muslims. Tbh Muslims are better off in the US. We're use to brown people. Europe -not so much.

Trying to explore the idea from available poll data, France, despite these laws, does seem more accepting of Muslims and Islam than the United States, though not by much. On the other hand, the United States still seems more accepting than other major Western European nations. So, as a whole, Europe woul have to become more accepting of Muslims and Islam to be more like America.

I think an important point to say, though, is that being against some Muslim majority countries is not the same as being against Muslims or Islam itself. No more than being against Russia is being against the Orthodox Church.

Yah, exactly. There's this common myth that the US is anti-Islam. Sure Muslims aren't favored by most here, but the same can be said of Europe. And polls don't take into account micoaggressions.
