It would appear, they put down the animal that planned the attack.

About 30,000.

Maybe I should clarify: their days of controlling physical territory are much less than their potential lifetime as a terrorist organization.

I don't think it's actually possible to fully stop them existing. But taking any control they may have is.

It isn't the cartels, it's the Mexican gov't itself. They publish pamphlets teaching people how to illegally cross the border, and they encourage criminals/unwanted elements of their society to do so. They export their problem children to us.

Lol. They're waaay too incompetent a government to pull that off without serious repercussions.

I just thought about this - if Dylann Roof is a Christian, why aren't we seeing every church and every Christian politician denounce him vocally? That logic works!

Oh, wait.

It must be incredibly frustrating as an Islamic terrorist not to have your views and motives taken seriously by the societies you terrorize, even after you have explicitly and repeatedly stated them. Even worse, those on the regressive left, in their endless capacity for masochism and self-loathing, have attempted to shift blame inwardly on themselves, denying the terrorists even the satisfaction of claiming responsibility.
It's like a bad Monty Python sketch:
"We did this because our holy texts exhort us to to do it."
"No you didn't."
"Wait, what? Yes we did..."
"No, this has nothing to do with religion. You guys are just using religion as a front for social and geopolitical reasons."
"WHAT!? Did you even read our official statement? We give explicit Quranic justification. This is jihad, a holy crusade against pagans, blasphemers, and disbelievers."
"No, this is definitely not a Muslim thing. You guys are not true Muslims, and you defame a great religion by saying so."
"Huh!? Who are you to tell us we're not true Muslims!? Islam is literally at the core of everything we do, and we have implemented the truest most literal and honest interpretation of its founding texts. It is our very reason for being."
"Nope. We created you. We installed a social and economic system that alienates and disenfranchises you, and that's why you did this. We're sorry."
"What? Why are you apologizing? We just slaughtered you mercilessly in the streets. We targeted unwitting civilians - disenfranchisement doesn't even enter into it!"
"Listen, it's our fault. We don't blame you for feeling unwelcome and lashing out."
"Seriously, stop taking credit for this! We worked really hard to pull this off, and we're not going to let you take it away from us."
"No, we nourished your extremism. We accept full blame."
"OMG, how many people do we have to kill around here to finally get our message across?"

I mean you can make the argument. Yes all religions create some sense of inspiration in some to do bad. However, proportionally you have more Muslims than Christians going around blowing up shit. Majority acts of terror globally has been committed by those claiming to be Muslim. Now we can get caught up in semantics and say they are technically not Muslim, but in all honesty they are inspired by their interpretation of Islam in the same way some Christians are inspired by their interpretation of Christianity. And both are radicals. Not just terrorists. But radicals. Socio-economics plays a big role, but so does the religion.

No, us leftists, which to you probably means to the left of the Religious Right, believe that these people do not represent Muslims in any ways.

I mean, you do realize that Syrian refugees are, at least in part, running away from ISIS?

Also, do your own work. Please don't plagiarize.

*shrug*
I was more pointing out the hypocracy in not having churches condemn Christian acts of terrorism, but ok.

Socio-economic conditions, as well as location, do play a big role. There are Christians within the US who are likely just as radical as the religious wing of ISIS (ignoring that a good majority of ISIS is most likely not in it for religion but for power - such as the drug dealers who get free transport in ISIS territory).

The problem is that in the US and Europe, this generation has grown up in a peaceful and (fairly) prosperous world. Meanwhile, this same generation living in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or wherever, has suffered through a generation of violence. I'd wager that most of these terrorists have lost someone in a western, or maybe a Russian attack or a civil war that's not much more than a puppet fight between Russia and the West. When you mix that with backwards living conditions - which is why afaik most of the terrorists come from less-developed, more rural places in the Middle East - and it's not hard to see how they could be radicalized by ISIS leaders with a good sense of opportunity to do horrible things - because they see the collective west as their enemy.

ISIS' days are numbered? Perhaps, but the bloodbath is coming, and it will make Paris look like a tea party.
