The best possible outcome from all of this is for the far right to sweep into power all across Europe. When in power, conservatives can finally put a stop to the immigration coming in and undo the policies right wingers have been mad about for a decade or more. But most important would be having a real crackdown to prevent this from happening again. The US hasn't had a single large scale attack since 9/11 and France can have the same result if willing to join US interventions in the Middle East or even launch a few of their own.

Because the best thing to do with a disaster is use it to mindlessly support your political views and use it as political fuel.
