Starting MSRP of a Traverse is $16,000 lower than that of a Tahoe, so you're still correct that a crossover is cheaper.

But the Tahoe has a more powerful basic engine, a more durable truck frame, more space and luxuries. Plus, Chevy puts it higher in its lineup.

The interior space on both is nearly identical.

Of course the Tahoe has a more powerful engine and stronger frame, because it's an actual truck and not a glorified station wagon.
The Traverse is for posers who want an SUV but can't handle the heavy-duty truck-ness of an SUV, so they omit the beefier and more expensive truck parts and sell it for 16 grand less than a Tahoe.

And a good bit of other features that are standard on the Tahoe are optional or unavailable on the Traverse.

3. Bluetooth, the auto does not even have a radio since it overloaded some time ago due to defective alternator overcharging.
4. So your brakes are soft. At least you have power brakes. My auto does not. It did not come with a power booster. That was an option back then when the auto was made. But it did come with Air Conditioning.

Edit - Forgot to mention, I am the fourth owner. Auto was made in 1979.

What car do you have from 1979? It sounds like a European car judging by the descriptions of no power brakes.

The following video shows an almost exact copy of my auto except for being 2 door, the color and one year older. Also, the auto in the video has a power booster behind the brake cylinder which is needed for power brakes. Also this auto has no air conditioning which explains the empty part of the front left part of the engine near the battery. The engine in the video also looks really rusted out.

TBH I actually think most all soviet/eastern bloc cars are pretty ridiculous. I find the least terrible to be the GAZ Chaika, if only because it seems like a bad copy of an American car.

Well, just looking at the Chaikia: The styling (inside and out) is ripped straight from the 1955 Packard; the chassis is a reverse engineering GM X frame, the transmission a reverse engineering Chrysler Torqueflite, the engine reverse engineering from Ford.

I think they are just ghastly compromises.

I prefer actual cars, like sedans/saloons, wagons/estates, and coupés. The minivan/MPV and the SUV killed the good old station wagon.

Well, you probably like wagons because where you live they are rare. In my case it is exactly the opposite: a ton of cars in my town are wagons, so I got bored of them.

My parents have an Audi A6 wagon, but they also have a GMC Envoy XL, but my father drives an Audi A4, and that is a bit rare, since it is a fwd manual car.

Wagons have loads of practicality but are cars, that drive like proper cars.

When you pay 25k for a car you have a right to bitch. The items i listed are the way the car works, not covered under warentee. That you can't afford a new car is not my issue.

Electrical systems on 1979 model year cars are not that hard to fix. Get yourself a Chilton book and a multimeter. Then replace the radio, in dash units for a 1979 anything can be had for less than 100 dollars.

A cvt is a continuous variable transmission, or you could have googled it.
Rear view cameras are going to be mandated equipment on every new car sold after 2018.

So much anger. :o Do you not know that stress is bad for you. I know I could have googled it but I did not feel like it.
