Cheap, lots of towing capacity? A 15+ year old heavy duty diesel truck.
I think I saw a pick-up truck for $2,000 or $3,000 at one of the used car lots/repair shops in my neighborhood, but I am not actually looking for a truck. The towing capacity is a joke about how I post as the USS Monitor, a Civil War ironclad which weighed around 1000 tons. I would actually prefer a smaller vehicle that would be easier to maneuver on narrow streets and easier to park. New England has a lot of awkward narrow streets.

Yeah, I heard, but my friend didn't have any of those at all. Man, when I took the road test, I had to parallel park, do the hill test, do the three-point turn, and do reverse parking.
I didn't have to do reverse parking.
I think it varies some depending on which state you're in or which RMV branch you go to -- like I was told that the Lawrence RMV does not give a shit.

New England, cheap? A 10 year old Subaru Impreza. Just don't buy a 2.5 one.

Saw a cheap Subaru at a place up the street and was thinking of asking them about it. Not sure exactly what kind it is or what year, but I remember it was a Subaru and it was cheap enough I could buy it without taking out a loan.

Yes! I will buy it!Petrolheadia wrote:Why? And would you prefer a man walking with you on his back at about 1 mph and doing a tomoe nage on you randomly?
Why? Cars are expensive and inefficient. And no, I would not prefer to ride the back of someone else as standard transportation.

It must be exhausting to have to post in every thread whose topic doesn't interest you. I generally do the opposite, saves a bit of time and I find I'm happier overall.

I live in foothills, where it barely even rains and all the roads are smooth...SUVs as far as the eye can see. Up in the Sierras where it snows and there are undeveloped roads, everyone has a Subaru. I mentioned this observation to a local and he just said, "It's the right tool for the job." I don't know that I've met a Subaru owner who didn't really like their car.

Yes, not many people took SUVs offroad, but at least they had the ability to do it. In the crossovers they don't. We also shouldn't forget about the fact that crossovers have less interior space than similarily-sized SUVs. In my opinion ditching SUVs for crossovers was a step back for motoring.

4 problems with my new 2015 forrester.
1. The cvt, sucks
2. The rear view camera is not refined enough, it can get washed out to where you don't see everything you need to.
3. The bluetooth stinks, 2 generations behind ford.
4. The brake pedal is too soft, the car stops fine, I juse hate the brake feel.
That said, I would buy again. Perfect car for us to downsize too from a minivan.
Also supposedly 2 and 3 have been fixed on the 2016's.
