I was momentarily torn because I am so pissed off at CBS for co-writing Focus on the Family's grossly irresponsible "don't listen to your doctor" anti-abortion ad, after they refused to carry Move On's anti-Iraq-war ad back in the day on the grounds that they won't do political issues ads during the Super Bowl, that I don't even want to watch that network anymore.

But then Rachel Maddow did an installment of her show live from NOLA to promo the game, and I felt so misty and sentimental for New Orleans that I decided to watch the game and root for the under-dog Saints (which I may as well, since neither the Pats nor the Giants were good enough this year).

So I have to go out this afternoon. Later, all.

Saints are the under-dogs? I was not impressed with the Colts tbh.

They were. Not any more. Woot! It was a good game. Congrats to the Saints and NOLA.

I am not so sure. Even in the time of before the teleprompter, you had a card or a piece of paper with a list of important points.

Also, you usually don't have to be reminded of basic platform issues.

they are floating the narrative that the current president knows nothing and only says what is put on the teleprompter for him to say.

we all might think that that was just stupid politicking but it seems that the republican reps in congress believed it so much that they allowed a Q&A session to be televised as if it had been going to show just how ill prepared he was for live unscripted talking.

I think, kind of tougher to put our arms around, but allowing America's spirit to rise again by not being afraid to kind of go back to some of our roots as a God fearing nation where we're not afraid to say especially in times of potential trouble in the future here, where we're not afraid to say, you know, we don't have all the answers as fallible men and women so it would be wise of us to start seeking some divine intervention again in this country, so that we can be safe and secure and prosperous again. To have people involved in government who aren't afraid to go that route, not so afraid of the political correctness that you know – they have to be afraid of what the media said about them if they were to proclaim their alliance to our creator.

If you can get through the grammar on that one, essentially she's saying that Divine Intervention is needed again to lift America's spirits, perhaps some divine rainbow show, that would make people happy.

So, one of the top 3 priorities is to ask God for some Divine Intervention, hoo boy!

yeah the applause she got for suggesting that we put it into god's hands--whatever the fuck that would involve--made me a little queasy.

Here's what I don't understand: If these loons are so eager to put everything in God's hands, why are they running for public office? Why are they protesting and crying about how the nation is being ruined and it all has to be stopped NOW? Why don't they just stay home and let God sort everything out for them?
