I just noticed a connection between the Second Commandment (Lord's Name in Vain) and Jesus in the NT and I feel like posting it here. This Commandment alone includes the line "the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name," which the CEB more bluntly translates as "the Lord won’t forgive anyone who uses his name that way!" Defiling the name of God is a special sin, and Christ treats it as such. He is willing to forgive an adulterer and save her from stoning, yet He personally drives money changers and merchants from the Temple.

Aside from the Crucifixion and Resurrection (Happy Easter!), the whole New Testament is about this. Christ is so opposed to the Pharisees because of their egregious violation of this law, because of how they twisted the name of God. As Christians, I pray that we do not follow in their footsteps.

Also, the Second Commandment isn't about exclamations like "Oh my God!" See this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nI8OtOfzUDE

He wouldn't be a lich either, btw. Liches gain immortality by binding their intellect/soul/personality to an object (called a phylactery). Voldemort was a lich, with his phylacteries being the horcruxes. Jesus was not - he was not re-animated by a phylactery. There is no object you could locate and destroy to render Jesus mortal.

Zombie is applicable provided you use the term loosely, meaning "re-animated corpse" regardless of how the corpse was re-animated (be it magic, virus, fungus, radiation, parasite, whatever). It's basically all "zombie" means these days, given the variety of ways they've been created and the varying levels of sentience zombies have been given in relevant media.

Jesus might be a lich if the consecrated wafer and wine chalices are his horcruxes. Maybe if we destroy them all before a priest can consecrate any more then Jesus will no longer have any body?

Nah, Jesus can't be classified as an undead creature. Considering all of the various Christian doctrines on the divinity/humanity of Jesus, Jesus would be least be a half-celestial hero level deity, meaning that he'd have the outsider subtype, thereby prohibiting him from becoming undead. In all likelihood, Yahweh probably just cast true resurrection when no one was looking.

D&D aside, the teaching is that Jesus was fully God,and fully Man, not half and half, like (a retcon of) DC's Diana Prince, or the ancient Greek myth of Heracles . God (the Son) incarnated himself as a human. He had all of the weaknesses and mortality that any other human would experience, except that he was born without sin, and never fell into sin even when tempted. He ate, drank, excreted, and had to sleep like everyone else.

Being that the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Jesus the Christ bodily, not even the power death could hold him. A more true resurrection could not -have been. Einstien said that God doesn't play dice with the universe--I recon it's more akin to the Amber Diceless System.

Think of it more in Hero System terms--
God the Logos (Being of Light, Love, Reason, and Truth of infinite stats, infinite power pool, limitation--cannot do that which is contrary to his nature--e.g., cannot lie, cannot sin, cannot do the logically absurd etc) with a transformational power pool into being born as a 150 pt human being during at the prophecied time and can access some or all of power pool at the will of His Father.
Perk: Son of God and Son of Man (as per ; Contact: God the Father; -
Psychological Limitation: Code of Honor--Follows 10 Commandments, the Shema, and the Golden Rule;
Duty or Obligation: The will of God the Father; Redeem mankind.
Distinctive Feature: Not very good looking;
Trigger: Once physical body offered as a ransom for humaity, it is transformed into a glorified form as the archetype for redeemed humanity.

Our fears were correct, it would seem. Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil was crucified by Daesh/ISIL on Good Friday. May God have Mercy on this holy martyr.

Augh...Lord have mercy on us, and on the whole world...

Christ have mercy. Welcome this martyr into your midst, and have mercy on us.

Blessed Mother, wrap Father Tom in your gentle mantle and carry him to Heaven. Pray for us, the poor banished children of Eve, who are still here on earth and who still must deal with this menace that is Daesh. Pray for us, Good Mother, that one day this terrorism shall cease.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, Oh Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, by the Divine Power of God, cast into Hell Satan, and all the other evil spirits, who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls, Amen.

Father Tom, rest in the arms of Jesus and Mary, and pray for us, the Church Militant. Amen.

Hmm, the article really doesn't say the report is confirmed, but rather that a Church in Austria seems to have announced that Fr. Tom was crucified without confirmation of anything. The video also says that they don't know where he is or who was responsible for the Yemen attacks.

I feel like this is as much as we knew before.
