I've noticed that I the last few months people have made their signatures much more plain. There is less color, less strange motifs, less pompous statements....

What does mean? Is what I ask nsg on this day. Why have people's signatures become so humble?

Perhaps this a sign that the world is becoming a nice and harmonious place!

I think a lot of older accounts that took advantage of signature space have CTE'd or retired from NSG, and the newer accounts either aren't used to bbcode or treat forums like they would more modern forms of social media. (There are no signatures on twitter and facebook.)

Signatures with extended length tend to be bothersome when browsing posts in threads.

My signature has always been rather plain. It used to include colors, but I've liked the minimalist approach. I think sigs with huge blocks of text are simply ugly. And absurd. It's a sig, not a profile. We don't need you to expound upon your personality, beliefs, and interests.
