If it came from a bag, there's no way in hell it had actual bacon in it. :p

I don't know, I have found marevelous bacon pieces and bits on several bags. Oscar Meyer makes some amazing bacon bits with actual bacon.

What's correctly-made bacon for you? :p

Don't see why the ":P" was necessary.

Well first, the bacon has to be slightly well done, yet still close to medium, so that it can be slightly crunchy, yet still have a nice light chewyness to it.

And you realize you can get rid of most of the oil(Keep some though, it adds a nice flavor), right? Just put 4-5 pieces between 1 or 2 paper towels, soaks up the oil easy. Not that difficult.

Upon closer inspection it appears I've been lied to; it's bacon flavoured crumbles.

The entire bacon itself is oil, really. I prefer Canadian Applewood Thick Bacon or just plain no bacon. :p

No it's not, I think you need to learn what food oil/grease is...

And as I said again, a few paper towels will cure that problem.

Bacon is 99% fat. You'll never get rid of it, unless you get rid of it entirely.

I'm not a fan, but like NHA said, it's something easily resolved by letting them rest over a few paper towels. These absorb the excess grease.

Honestly, I think bacon itself is an excess grease. I understand that you can remove the grease on the surface, but there is always fat on the inside.

Fat is a part of many foods, Gim. Fat doesn't necessarily make you gain weight (if that's your concern) or harm you (there is such a thing as good cholesterol). What you need to watch for is sugar.

Now, that being said, if you don't like bacon, that's ok.

I know that; I just don't like the general oiliness of bacon, especially when it is dry and shriveled.

*Greasiness

Also if cooked correctly, it shouldn't be dried or shriveled. If you don't like bacon, that's ok, but the reasons you giving are rather, well, easily fixable.

American bacon tend to get shriveled for some reason, even those from restaurants. I shouldn't buy frozen bacon anymore from the grocery store. :p

And my point still stands, all the reasons for why you don't like it are easily fixable.

I've eaten bacon that are cooked correctly. I'm pretty sure it's the quality. Applewood bacons, I think, are far superior to American ones.

Meh, bacon is good. We just put it (or the flavor) in shit that it has no place being in: brownies, tacos, candy, jam, soda, ice cream...

I do prefer turkey bacon though.
