I'm by no means religious but I do think the subject of religious studies should have been handled more sensitively, perhaps having her write a balanced paper where arguments for and against the existence of God are made and summarise her own position and that it should be obvious that a "God is Fake" assignment is going to provoke outrage especially in conservative religious areas of Texas.

Really?

There's an oddly common misconception that the DoL is binding.

Yeah, I've noticed that some people think it's part of your Constitution. But does it even say anything about freedom of religion?

Again, I messed up false, with opinion. The point is still spot on.

No comment on the dictionary definition I posted of myth, I see.
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

I haven't read it, That's probably blasphemy in the Southbut I don't think it explicitly mentions religious freedom.

Well it does say something about being well endowed by our creator, but your right about it not having force of law.

No, because the OP misunderstood the event.

I wanted to put that I was well-endowed in an official document.
Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

So now atheists aren't allowed to even speak their opinions, yet Christians are allowed to go door-to-door pressuring people to join their churches?

Last time I checked the JW never pressured anyone to join their beliefs. When they do their monthly visit to my house I always sit down and have a talk in the difference between our beliefs in order to know more about them. They have never pressured me to join their sect. If you don't like them visiting you then you can talk to them and say it, believe me that's what my neighbor did and they have never visited her again or you can just can just ignore them.

The DoL was a Declaration of War with a list of grievances, it's not legally binding (In the manner of a governing document). If it were, the Constitution wouldn't be needed. And furthermore, the Bill of Rights within the Constitution aren't set in stone, contrary to the beliefs of some. Those can be amended.
