New Carthagea wrote:After having the rather uncomfortable talk with Ari, Margaret returned to her room in the Palace. Inside, she found Christophe sleeping on the bed. Bored and having nothing else to do, she woke him up. As soon as he woke up, she kissed him gently, and a wide smile emerged on Christophe's face. The two hugged each other, both did not have great starts to their days.
"It's rather warm here today, isn't it, sweetheart?", said Margaret. Summer was coming in the southern hemisphere; the weather kept getting warmer.
"How about we watch a scary, spooky movie, then?, said Christophe, to celebrate the season of spooky Hallow's eve. Then, Christophe was startled by the same voice he heard before he went to sleep. Yes, it came from Leali III, again." I could a tale unfold whose lightest word,
Would harrow up thy soul,
Freeze thy young blood "
Margaret and Christophe were startled. Christophe sped across the room towards the corgi, and picked her up. It was now normal; with a cute, little smile and friendly eyes; in complete contradiction to the evil smirk and red eyes he saw just a few seconds ago. He let go of Leali, who then scuttled away into his dog bed and proceeded to take a nap. As the dog drifted away to sleep quickly, Christophe turned towards Margaret, who was still in visible confusion.
"Is it just me, or did you see that too, Chris?", asked Margaret, surprised and shocked. Christophe sat down beside her, with a rather uncomfortable face.
"You saw Leali talking too?", inquired Christophe. Margaret nodded. "So it wasn't me hallucinating, then. Have you noticed how it sounded like Alastair's voice, but older?". Then, the dog woke up all of sudden, and declared thus."I am his father’s spirit,
Doomed for a certain term to walk the night
And for the day confined to fast in fires,
Till the foul crimes done in my days of nature
Are burnt and purged away. "
"What sins have you committed, sir? Why have you chosen my innocent dog to be your medium?", asked Christophe, with both anger and curiosity." Giving birth to that fool is ze mistake I made.
He has destroyed ze country altogether. Incompetent fool.
Christophe and Margaret, promise me.
When you visit zat fool in a few days, take me with you.
Take your dog, and I shall teach that son of mine a lesson.
As to your second question, dear Christophe,
Possessing humans is clichéd, so I thought dogs would be an interesting choice. "
"Sir, are you going to try to harm Alastair? Please don't! He's not evil, he is a victim of the devastating addiction he has of alco-", said Christophe, when he was suddenly interrupted by Leali III/ Alastair III." Ah shut up, you pansy.
He is being a bad boy, and needs good talk with his father.
Take him to me, or I shall haunt you both, forever!
And 'gins to pale his uneffectual fire.
Adieu, adieu, adieu. Remember me. "
"No, stooop!", exclaimed Christophe, but he was too late. The ghost left, and Leali III fell back to sleep, instantly. Christophe fell back into the chair, looked towards Margaret, and both of them collectively exclaimed,"WHAT THE [REDACTED]"

Here you go (He reused the simile multiple times, this is one from 2016):NERVUN wrote:A lot of the arguments being put forward seem to boil down to either "But we wanna!" or "We can in real life!" neither of which are compelling to me as to why it should be allowed to juggle flaming torches while standing in a fireworks factory that has been flooded knee deep with gasoline.
Edit: This appears to be the original usage of the quote.

To get an Embassy one must request the embassy, then appoint CrimsonScribbles as the diocee. They require though in order to receive their ministry, rather take prayer request and post prayers up , that one appoints CrimsonScribbles as the diocese. This is because CrimsonScribbles got in trouble before for spamming in regions, despite having been invited. They only except embassies that wish to get their ministry. Outside of his religious post, he doesn't engage at all with the regions and nor they with his region. His regions has no involvement in any regions government nor is it owned or influenced by any regions government.
Unfortunately, this is a theme we've seen far too often with fascists - using existing institutions and organizations as a means to try and legitimize themselves. We saw it here: Genua claimed this region as their own in a dispatch until it became clear (in this thread!) that being owned by fascists undermines their goal of getting Christians to join their region based purely off of its name. When the obvious link was pointed out, they quickly scrubbed the evidence from their dispatch, making it clear that this is little more than a group of fascists using the trappings of Christianity to draw people in.LadyMorrighan wrote:They just don't discriminate on whom they will spread the word of the Lord to. That would go against the very teachings of Christ. Christ was often condemned by the Pharisees because spent much time sitting and eating with sinners. Christ responded to that by explaining, it is the sinner that need him the most. If they rejected an embassy because of their politics, they would be going against the very teachings of Christ.
You've almost stumbled upon a good analogy. But the fascists aren't the "sinners" depicted in the Gospels who flocked to Jesus - those people knew they were in the wrong and were looking to do right. There is a group of people depicted in the Gospels who, like fascists, cared about the legitimacy and status that appearing to be religious would bring. People who did all their deeds to be seen by others, and not to win people to their religion. People who desperately tried to look righteous to others, but who were filled with hypocrisy - as one must be, to practice an oppressive ideology and preach a religion that promises freedom to all.
The best parallel to fascists in this story, of course, are the Pharisees. Jesus condemned them loudly and repeatedly, and gave the rest of us a masterclass on how to spot charlatans who are using the language and behavior of religion to try and appear holy when they are anything but.

Exalted Inquellian State wrote:The Gold Mines wrote:What the heck?
I don't really have a name for my religion, so for now we'll use omnism.
Basically, it hinges on the fact all gods are real. Christian gods, roman gods, Indian gods, alien gods. The most important god, the one who influences the other ones, is the one most people believe in, which as of now is thought to be the Christian god. Obviously, Christianity has Satan, so now there is a divide, with the morally just gods rallying to the God, morally evil gods rallying to Satan, and everything else existing as a chaotic, everchanging third side. The multiverse is where these gods live. It contains 100 Trillion universe of varying sizes ranging from 0-dimsional dots to 8-dimensions OOOOOOOGHLAOOOOOOOOOOOOGHLAYOOOOOOOOOOOOOGHLAYOOO- And the multiverse itself is a 9 dimensional bubble. At any given moment Heaven is at the top and Hell at the bottom. People don't go to hell for being atheist, and probably not for masturbating or being homosexuals or eating meat on a Friday or anything that doesn't harm someone else, according to some form of trial. Now, they shouldn't be able to die in Heaven or hell, hut if they do, they usually go to the double version of that. And a double version exists outside the multiverse. Beneath heaven and hell, the dimensions collapse, and revert to either a four dimensional state like our universe or another one. For our entire universe is a subatomic particle in a larger multiverse. If a dream I had years ago is correct, it is an electron in a childs birthday cake, but that's likely not true. There are many levels of this, but at them top is the Inner Omniverse. It contains the final levels of the multiverses. But there's more. There's more omniverses, like an "infinite" multiverse(which is actually just a loop) a shadow realm, and so on. And they are all in the Outer Omniverse, the sum of everything. Now, not every possibility exists at the same time. Some possibilities are made by time travel or universe being reborn. And if you're wondering what's at the bottom of the omniversal ladder, probably true elementary particles.
