I'm a Christian too. I've read the protostant Bible and dabbled in theology.
Stop talking nonsense!

You're acting as if God created women for the sole purpose of popping babies and slaving over their husbands. That couldn't further from the truth. The OT says should modestly and respect their husbands. That vague and ambigious language caan be interpreted in many ways, but if God wanted an extreme interpretation, I doubt He would have made it that vague and ambigious. (God didn't write the Bible anyway, people did). If God didn't value the controbution of women, He would have made them mindless servents. God did didn't make them mindless, He gave women and equal freedom. Women are equally responsible for their own faith as men are. God's judgement of individual women is equal and indipendant of God's judgement of indipendant men. And even in the more conservative denominations, such as my denomination of Orthodoxy, women play a very important role in the church, different role to men, but an important role. The roles women play require as much intellect and as much authority as the roles that men play. For example, women (those who want positions of authority) are in charge of running the community of the aspect, which requires just as much as intellect and just as much authority as any role the man plays. My mother herself was a Sunday-school teacher. Now the Old Testament does say that women who is menstruating or is pregant, or has just given birth should stay away from the Temple, but that's probably because it dates back to a time before modern medicine where hygine was lack-luster at best, and infant mortality/mortality of mothers giving birth was high. The OT also says that lepers, male and female, should stay away from the Temple, possibly for the same reason.

Stop talking non-sense. Christianity does not treat women as the mindless slaves of their husbands

Nationstates, regarding drugs and people's lives:

... you didn't even see her come in.

“Life isn’t measured in years, but in moments. Moments of kindness and connection mean a lot more when death is standing right next to you. Maybe all your doctors could spend more time talking to people instead of thinking about drugs and medicines all the time. You know, listening to their dreams, destinies, desires and deliriums. It’s always good to talk with someone who cares, right at the end.”

This quote is particularly awesome in the context of my lore. In Opposite World, I designed an story where a NPC (Nation States, hinted by her initials N.S.) is slightly aware that she is inside a simulation ("something is wrong"), so she tries to influence the world through her dreams, where she is able to give suggestions. (As such, it's chilling to think that she glitched her way into Nation States' actual ideas) This quote is not completely in-character for herself, but it can be explained by her interacting with Virsieras, a genius optimist architect in O.W. who gives her hope and conveys this idea. By using Virsieras's hopeful ideas she manages to glitch the game and enforce a decision which is completely out-of-character for the Developer of Opposite World (a sadist and a sociopath who would rather give the excuse of testing the drugs endlessly).

TLDR: A super meta quote that amazingly fits my world despite my incredibly unusual idea ("Virtual reality world where some NPC's are sentient, and Nation States itself is an AI that gives suggestions")

IM asked: "How come there are no female dictators outside of monarchies?"
The Archregimancy wrote:
Aureumterra wrote:

Indira Gandhi wasn't so much an out and out dictator, more an elected leader with authoritarian tendencies in a party-dominant democracy. Yes, she controversially had the president declare a state of emergency (as permitted by the constitution) and then ruled by decree from 1975-1977 after an Indian court found her guilty of electoral malpractice, and many senior opposition figures were arrested and the press censored during that period; but then she also immediately paid for that by losing the 1977 election in a thumping landslide which was largely a counter-reaction to the Emergency; she even lost her own seat. Dictators aren't typically so careless.

The real answer to Infected Mushroom's question is likely no more dramatic than until fairly recently non-monarchical female heads of state and/or government were highly unusual. The first elected female head of government was Sirimavo Bandaranaike in 1960, and the first directly elected female head of state was Vigdís Finnbogadóttir in 1980 (Isabel Perón in '74 was the first female president, but succeeded to the office as vice-president after her husband Juan died in office). Also, many dictatorships are led by the armed forces of a particular country, which itself tends to limit opportunities for women to achieve power since the armed forces of the vast majority of countries are male-dominated.

It's hard to come up with an example of an out and out female dictator in the post-Second World War period who had uncontested dictatorial rule for a significant period of time, never subjected herself to free and fair elections, and whose rule came to death, resignation, rebellion or coup. And there are a fair number of examples (like, indeed, Indira Gandhi) where there's scope for good-faith disagreement over whether an individual was an outright dictator or not.

With all of those qualifiers in place... Sheikha Hasina in Bangladesh is currently doing a very good job of turning herself into a dictator. Bangladesh nominally remains a democracy, but her landslide victories in the last three elections have come with either widespread allegations of electoral fraud, opposition boycotts, or both, and she's now following that up with the 2018 Digital Security Act, which hands out prison terms to anyone criticising the government - whether in digital or traditional media. So unless Kim's sister takes over in North Korea, Sheikha Hasina is likely the closest we currently have to a female dictator in power.

Fahran analyses how RWDT regulars would do under a right-wing dictatorship:

Fahran wrote:
Fahran: After the coup she writes an impassioned Instagram post, quoting Cato, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and several other notables. While this post does not go viral, probably because it captioned an unnecessary and confusing picture of her dog, it is more than enough to land her on the radar of the Secret Police. There is a scuffle in her apartment and she manages to escape. But she trips and falls down the stairs, dying just as she had lived, clumsily.

Galloism: He labors quietly throughout the duration of the dictatorship to eventually become the government's chief accountant. Despite his knowledge of and participation in atrocities against the political opposition, he is never accused of disloyalty, on account of his immaculate books, and isn't even convicted of any crimes following the collapse of the junta, as he secures asylum in Switzerland, where he lives like a king on his ill-gotten gains.

Diopolis: He achieves a good-paying job as an assistant prosecutor following the coup. Content to employ his position to catapult himself into higher office, he engages in an intense decade-long bout of brown-nosing. He eventually becomes Governor of Texas but, following Nap's assassination, he is branded a communist. He denies these charges but his protege manages to prove he was active on NSG, a "perfidious den of communist sedition." Faced with a public kangaroo trial, he takes the quicker route.

The East Marches II: Despite the assistance he provided to the right-wing dictatorship in putting down what scant resistance materialized following the coup, always with "honest" financial compensation, TEM is soon arrested for usury, arbitrage, smuggling, and unbridled cosmopolitanism. He refuses to sign a confession and, while no evidence is available, it is probable he died under torture, quite possibly having to endure Rebecca Black's Friday for an entire year.

Hanafuridake: Following the right-wing coup, she flees immediately to Japan. After a rigorous and stressful interrogation, the government declines to obstruct her attempt to leave the country. She is promptly granted asylum and becomes a notable Buddhist scholar, one who is hardly remembered as coming from America.

Luminesa: In collaboration with the Catholic Church, she sets up an underground railroad to smuggle leftists, Catholics, and other persons who have run afoul of the regime to Cuba and then to the Bahamas. After being betrayed by someone she had tried to save, she is disappeared by the regime. She is later beautified by the Church.

United Muscovite Nations: Following the coup, a co-worker overhears him absentmindedly humming the Internationale and reports this to a local commandant. UMN is swiftly taken into custody and, when interrogated, proudly declares his undying loyalty to Mother Russia. This incenses the military personnel interrogating him, and he's beaten to death with a less-than-ripe banana.

Italios: Following the coup, she joins a left-wing resistance cell. Her group is soon overwhelmed and forced to surrender. She goes out like a bad-ass, taking a swig of whiskey and smoking a cigarette as she defiantly glares at the firing squad.

Nap the Magnificent: After the coup, Nap becomes a notable Tolkien scholar and a middling bureaucrat in the capitol, where he is most remembered for his long diatribes against "the before time." He persists in this mundane role for much of his natural life. However, during one of the not infrequent shake-ups in leadership, the new dictator misinterprets a passage in one of his literary reviews as besmirching his character and has Nap disappeared. Nap's disappearance is blamed on communists and enemies of the nation, thus precipitating a large-scale purge of the public.

LRON: He is arrested on charges of espionage while on vacation to Nebraska of all places, and, despite vigorous protests by the British government, he suffers a harrowing ordeal consisting of Justin Bieber based musical torture and severe waterboarding. Eventually, the British Foreign Office manages to secure his release and he writes a best-selling account that shines a light onto the atrocities committed by the dictatorship.

Questarian New Yorkshire: While consorting with women of ill-repute in a casino in Nevada, he's seized on charges of public intoxication, solicitation, and resisting arrest. After a very brief search of his social media accounts, the charge of egregious tankie-ism is added to his long list of crimes against public morality. He is executed without a trial and buried in Ohio.

Ayytaly: Following the coup, he is arrested for crimes against the nation, due, in no small part, to his insistence that America is not a nation. He repeats these remarks at his public kangaroo trial and the judge sentences him to death after thirty seconds of deliberation.

Washington Resistance Army: Following the coup, he organizes a right-wing militia, a para-military death squad if you will, and engages in a ruthless and bloody suppression of "seditious" and "communistic" elements along the West Coast. His actions earn the praise of his superior. This eventually leads to him becoming the final Chief of the Secret Police. His fortunes alter dramatically when the regime finally falls. A mob of agitated Bernie Bros bores him to death with a lecture on why Marxism-Leninism wasn't real communism.

OEP: Like WRA, he participates in the brutal suppression of "seditious" and "communistic" elements. However, his militia consists of fratboys and operates principally on the East Coast and university campuses. He becomes well-known for his flamboyance, charisma, and intense nationalism, eventually becoming the face of the Fortress America Movement. While many Christian activists decry his lechery and alcohol-consumption, these are disregarded as long as he remains useful. However, after a shift in power, the new dictator fears the fanaticism of his militia and has him purged in what becomes known as the Night of the Sawed-Off Shotguns.

Salus Maior: He initially welcomes the establishment of the right-wing junta but, upon discovery the atrocities, he becomes disillusioned and forms a Catholic resistance cell. After entrusting his loved ones to Lumi, he decides to go out in a blaze of glory, like in one of those westerns, viewing it as just penance for his sins. His heroic sacrifice allows his family to escape.

Xuloqoia: He is arrested soon after the coup, despite minding his own business, because his style of dress is viewed as insufferably white-collar and he refuses to stop quoting Kant. He is forcibly reeducated until he accepts that Carl Schmitt was a good philosopher and that George Strait is the greatest of all time. His life ends with the realization that he loves Big Hoppe.

Novus America: After the coup, he becomes the leader of the token resistance but, after winning an election quite by accident, he is forced to renounce his candidacy. He plays along initially but has his political manifesto published. This document becomes the spark that keeps the resistance lit through the dark days of repression. Nonetheless, he is executed.

Cekoviu: She joins the resistance cell with Italios but, when they're finally overwhelmed, she manages to escape by hiding in a shed, which, for whatever reason, the foot soldiers of the regime neglected to search. Safe but shaken, she makes her way to Lumi's base of operations and secures passage to the Bahamas. While she never talks about the darkest of days, a shadow always seems to hang over her otherwise happy life. And, on a certain day each month, she hums anthems of the resistance while wiping away tears.

Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Gotta have a little bit of darkness within you just to survive. You gotta stoop low everyday it seems like. Stoop all the way down to the devil in these times. And then one day you look in the mirror and you realize that you ain't you anymore. You're just another monster, and thanks to your actions, someone else will eventually become as warped and twisted as you. Never forget that the best of us are just the best of a bad lot. Being at the top of a pile of feces doesn't make you anything but shit like the rest. Never forget that.

The Gilded Star wrote:Guys, I have it on pretty good authority that ShrewLlamaland is a puppet of the WA Elite.

First, allow me to show you Exhibit A:

Shortly after that exchange was made, Shrew made this post. Later in the discussion, he even admits he posted at the behest of someone else, who, due to the leak above, we can reasonably conclude was Bormiar, which ShrewLlamaland even confirms later on.

Now, let us look into this Bormiar fellow. Apparently he resides in The Rejected Realms. As we all know, TRR is a GCR, and on top of that, has a World Assembly Delegate with 256 endorsements- that's x256 more endorsements than the average WA member! What ties this all together is that Bormiar's rank within this region is, "Officer of the World Assembly", a rather conclusive title if you ask me. Obviously this means Bormiar is, indisputably, part of the WA Elite.

Ergo, because ShrewLlamaland takes orders not only from a member of the WA Elite, but an officer of the WA Elite, one can only conclude that ShrewLlamaland is a part of the WA Elite as well.

In closure, if you stand against the WA Elite, and oppose them on every front, you should likewise oppose this ShrewLlamaland fellow, who has now had his true colors exposed for all of NSGP to see- as a sleeper agent of the evil WA Elite. Good luck recovering from this scandal, Mr. Shrew.
