OOC: guys, we did it! We’ve reached almost 500 pages of posts (mad, right?) and we’re alive and kicking!

I want to dedicate this thread to all of you. All the amazing members and observers who have joined this alliance and played a role in making it last this long. Your teamwork has helped this alliance grow, and become more powerful than I could have ever hoped for.

I want to thank you all for this. You have made me feel valued, welcomed me to what was at first a really scary world of NS geopolitics, and just been great to me ICly and OOCly. Without you all, NS would be a lot more boring for me.

I want us to think how far we’ve come- we have lasted an entire year almost, fought in countless wars, and worked together. We’ve had success and failure, triumph and tragedy, and we’ve come out on top, despite all the chaos and challenges.

I want to give special thanks to The Astral Mandate Southeast Marajarbia, and Greater Marine, for having stuck with this alliance for its entire history. You’ve done a tremendous job, and I value you a lot as IC allies and OOC friends. Thank you so much. Your loyalty has been incredible, and you have always been very supportive in all matters IC and OOC. You got me on International Incidents in the first place, and without the meetings I had with the Astral Mandate and Southeast Marajarbia, I’d never have had the idea either to establish this alliance or participate in International Incidents. You changed the way I play this game, for the better.

I also want to give thanks to Janpia. Janpia, we’ve never really seen eye to eye on IC matters. The rivalry between the KTO and CSL is as ancient as the alliance itself. But inspite of that, you’ve given me a lot of help OOCly, and never held a grudge because of IC tension between our countries. You inspired me a lot, and without your influence I don’t think I’d have become half the RPer I am now. I have nothing but respect for the dedicatio you put in to RP, even if said RP is destroying my army and navy time and time again. You’re the best enemy I could ever have hoped for.

I hope this alliance can succeed, and that we can move into this new era of the CSL. May we last another year!

I just want to take a moment to apologise to the NS community for my role in the delay in getting the site up and running.

I have no relevant technical knowledge to offer, but still wanted to contribute somehow. When the site failed yesterday, I offered to engage in an extensive programme of human sacrifice using several arcane rituals from a range of ancient societies, drawing on my archaeological knowledge and expertise.

Unfortunately, this programme of human sacrifice seems to have failed; or at least only partially succeeded, since the forum is at least now up and running.

I'm currently consulting with the rest of the team over Discord as to whether I should advance my plans to have local university students build a wicker man so I can move on to the next stage of the ritual human sacrifice programme to help get the site back up again. But for now I just have a large pile of corpses in the back garden, and nowhere to put them, which is awkward. My obsidian blade could also use a clean.
