Gunpowder combusts easily. No other type of explosive is a substance to be carried by a responsible adult, especially with a mechanism designed for the ignition thereof, even in protective casing.

Moreover, slinging the thing across your shoulder makes it a target for small children to grab and play with, perhaps as you sit down for a drink. This risk in my opinion is too great to be tolerated.

And incidentally, there is generally no law against carrying around explosive substances, which is why you can buy black powder in Wal-mart. For detonating stumps, generally. Very useful for that purpose, black powder.

So why are so many people not comfortable with black guys swaggering around with guns? I'm pretty sure there are people on both sides of the gun debate that go into panic mode when they see a black guy with a gun. The difference is the gun control advocates are more consistent about applying the same standard to people of other colors.

As a law abiding gun owner the only time I'm not comfortable with black guys walking down the street with a gun is A) when they're showing off their gun, that's stupid, and any sensible CCP Holder would keep their gun concealed, and B) When they fit the gangsta culture, so they're walking down the street with pants sagging, swaggering like they're hot shit, and got tons of fake gold on them, bandanas, you know, stuff that just screams "i'm a gangsta man, look at my piece, I'll f*kin' use it on you.
