I suggest you don't write off fears that you don't understand. They're legitimate and they hardly make people cowards.

I was too, when younger. By the time I turned 10 I had lost my fear of the dark. I currently have a phobia of most insects. I'm trying to get over it, to no avail, but the previous acrophobia I suffered from is way under control, has been for the past five years I believe.

It's amazing how long I've had this fear. Like I said, I can easy be in a dark room, but I the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I never feel quite right. Unless I'm in my bed.

I never really liked insects (minus butterflies and ladybirds - I used to enjoy catching them and releasing) but I'm not really scared of them. Other than that, I have got some other fears, but they too are very easy to control. Usually when I'm around or doing them I don't feel afraid at all.
