Yeah, Korea has horror movies, such as Man, Terror in Han River, and other more. However, there are also exciting music that gained recognition in Cannes festival and others, such as Snowpiercer, Cold, Roaring Currents(which depict of Korean navy that was outnumbered by Japanese, yet winning the battle, defeating the Japanese), and Assassination.

However, I watch variety shows a great deal, as far as Korea is concerned. One of them is Running Man, which is popular in probably all of Asia.

I do enjoy Korean sitcoms. Became a huge fan of My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho. Kinda of goofy. I also watched one with Taeyeon (who I find adorable), but I can't recall the name of it.

You and your Korean music

I was talking about Korean movies and shows, and yes, I recently got addicted to those. However, mind you, I listen to Japanese songs and songs sung by Chinese singers as well.

Their thriller/horrors are pretty crazy too.

I Saw the Devil was just insane.

Oh yes, my ex and I were debating whether we should watch Man or I Saw The Devil, when we were both in a theatre. I picked whichever looked less scary, which was Man, but I was still terrified watching it. :p

I really liked it. There's also K-animation, which is quite good. I enjoyed titles like House Ghost and Yobi.

I loved My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho. Shin Min Ah is extremely pretty, and I heard many of my female friends telling me Lee Seung Ki is pretty handsome. :p

I remember Taeyeon starring in one drama, the name of which I cannot really remember, but she released many OSTs(Opening Sound Tracks) for many dramas, such as Athena: Goddess of War, The Beautiful You, and etc.

Recently, she released her first-ever single, I.

Is she still part of SNSD or did she leave the group completely?

Her version of Romantic Cat (ditto with Davichi's) is so cute.

The thing is, Korea has the potential to make good animations, but they just don't, because variety shows are very popular amongst their citizens. Some are educational like A Real Man; some are just plain funny like Running Man and Infinite Challenge. Older people generally enjoy watching 1 Night 2 Days.

Their period dramas are also quite good. I recall watching one about one of the very first women physicians, in what I imagine is Korea's medieval period. I can't recall the name of it but I absolutely loved that drama.

Oh! Jewel In The Palace? People all over Asia, such as in Iran, China, Japan, and even some Eastern European nations really enjoyed the show, I heard. It had a record-high 62.5% average viewer rating in Korea.

It's actually quite funny if you're an American. They portary us as Han Solo-esq laser toting athro-wolves of death. Most Americans are like "You were trying to insult us?! Lol nice try".
