I don't especially care. Really. I won't treat anyone differently because they got a boob job done or a nose job, or whatever. Same thing with cosmetic circumcision. Adults and all. To each their own. I just wouldn't undergo plastic surgery myself.

Anyways, cosmetic surgery tangent over and done on my part.

Personally, I don't care, as long as I don't have my foreskin removed. My parents, unlike others, did not really force me to be circumcised, and I truly appreciate that.

However, some corporations might push for circumcision laws, for instance, those that use baby's foreskins for some skincare lotion. They are pretty influential, considering how Oprah supported those products.

Yes, but it's not the done thing here. He who makes the claim provides the source. :)

As a non-circumcised male, I don't like or understand the concept. I'd say that while female genital mutilation is much worse, we shouldn't ignore circumcision.

No, I'm just kidding. Well, I don't really care about celebrities, too. Oprah advertising the foreskin care cream was something I heard from my friend or someone else.

No outrage. If a grown man wishes to get his foreskin removed for cosmetic reasons, hey, its his body.

^ This.

I, personally, would never give consent and would preemptively make my (future) wife and doctors know that the boys are not getting cut.

But hey, if an adult man wants to circumcise because they feel they'd look better, it's their body.

Oh...

OOOOOOOOOOOH

I thought it was cream that takes care of your foreskin. Not anti-aging cream made out of foreskin...

I will never look at a bottle of anti-aging cream the same again.

I don't have any wrinkles on my foreskin! I mean, I just thought "well that must be odd, I have never heard that people used creams on their foreskin before... must be that I'm old fashioned or something" :p

Meh, the original cell culture was foreskin. It would be worrying if human cells went straight from baby flesh to cosmetic product ... mainly because of infection fears, but also I guess that consumers might unwittingly be subsidizing actual circumcisions.

Getting wrought about this though, is on the same level as vegans who won't eat food cooked in a metal pot that once had meat cooked in it. I.e. load of Woo.

Perhaps relevantly, an intact foreskin can be used for tissue grafts to the same body. No infection or "cannibalism" concerns there, just moving flesh from one part of the body to the other.

ohhhhh thanks for reading that. I was doubting the whole story because it seems unlikely that any hospital would have enough male births resulting in circumcision to make one jar of such a product, let alone a whole product line.

this is one nutty group obsessing over a harmless product. makes much better sense.
