Gender is distinct from sex in that gender is one's psychological state of being, and sex is the physical characteristics determined by what sex organs you were born with.

Also, gender and sex are not the same thing. Gender is a perceived thing. Sex is biological. Therefore, if a gender is perceived, then it exists.
They look like male/female why don't they accept that there is only two genders if there is two sexes?

Actually, as I understand it the more common term for the gender identity is androgyne, not androgynous.

Yes. I need to work on that. Or learn to sew.
I have to speacially order in my pants most of the time. Its a case where I'm tall enough that, at any retailer, the length stops short of where it needs to be, and the waist just increases. Even in the Big & Tall sections its mostly designed for Big AND Tall people, so skinny tall people like me are just out of luck most of the time.

I'm almost 6'3" and about 150 lbs (~69 kg). Make of that what you will.

I do not doubt that there are indeed people who identify as androgynes for whom it works just the way that you described. But for others, it is more complicated. Maybe reading this forum thread is helpful for understanding the different nuances and experiences.
