Please, let's not cheapen the debate. Let's allow Naushantiya to respond without further provocation.

He clearly opposes the pornographic content in Playboy, which is fine. We just need to see whether he's as equally opposed to the far more sexually explicit portrayals of intercourse in Madhya Pradesh, and the Indian government's decision to promote these sites of decadent sexual perversity as World Heritage Sites; and if not, why not.

I would like to however, I am not very familiar with the exact meanings and symbolisms of the temple,so I would not be able to comment on it

Anybody who would even suggest destroying ancient monuments or structures lacks a sense of history and the British have a history of that, let's not get into the amount of harrapan bricks they shamelessly stole.

Pretty sure Arch has done more for the preservation of history than most Indians or the British Raj have done in recent memory, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or creed. The ad hominems aren't appropriate against you, and they aren't appropriate by you, and I apologize for the snarky remark in what is clearly a heated debate.

I happily concede the point on 'selling sex to nine year olds'.

But global debauchery on a global scale? How is making a site containing sculptures of group sex and of a man having sex with a horse a UNESCO World Heritage Site not 'promoting debauchery on a global scale'?

Has Playboy ever shown erect penises or bestiality?

A brief wikipedia search would show that the depictions on the khajurao temples are symbolic in nature as per a western scholar

Core Hindu values are expressed in multitude of ways. Even the Kama scenes, when seen in combination of sculptures that precede and follow, depict the spiritual themes such as moksha. In the words of Stella Kramrisch,

This state which is “like a man and woman in close embrace” is a symbol of moksa, final release or reunion of two principles, the essence (Purusha) and the nature (Prakriti).
— Stella Kramrisch, 1976[27]

The Khajuraho temples represent one expression of many forms of arts that flourished in Rajput kingdoms of India from 8th through 10th century CE. For example, contemporary with Khajuraho were the publications of poems and drama such as Prabodhacandrodaya, Karpuramanjari, Viddhasalabhanjika and Kavyamimansa.[59] Some of the themes expressed in these literary works are carved as sculpture in Khajuraho temples.[24][60] Some sculptures at the Khajuraho monuments dedicated to Vishnu include the Vyalas, which are hybrid imaginary animals with lions body, and are found in other Indian temples.[61] Some of these hybrid mythical art work include Vrik Vyala (hybrid of wolf and lion) and Gaja Vyala (hybrid of elephant and lion). These Vyalas may represent syncretic, creative combination of powers innate in the two.[62]

It is primarily art, to tell you anything further I might want to go Chatrapur, tbh I don't mind making that trip in December

I don't doubt for a second that they have some profound symbolism.

They nonetheless also explicitly portray group sex, erect penises, penetrative vaginal intercourse, oral sex, and human-equine bestiality.

Or, as another part of the Wikipedia article you're selectively quoting unambiguously states:

James McConnachie, in his history of the Kamasutra, describes the sexual-themed Khajuraho sculptures as "the apogee of erotic art":

"Twisting, broad-hipped and high breasted nymphs display their generously contoured and bejewelled bodies on exquisitely worked exterior wall panels. These fleshy apsaras run riot across the surface of the stone, putting on make-up, washing their hair, playing games, dancing, and endlessly knotting and unknotting their girdles....Beside the heavenly nymphs are serried ranks of griffins, guardian deities and, most notoriously, extravagantly interlocked maithunas, or lovemaking couples."

Are you for or against the public portrayal of the above?

Now as I don't know the secrets of the Harrapan scripts, it is difficult for me to tell you the exact meaning of these. The question is what does this artwork signify, I can go there in december and find out. As of now, I cannot fully answer your question at the moment.

However, Should anything as old as the 10th century not to protected as a cultural heritage site, I would beg to differ, it should be protected and it's secrets deciphered just like the sites the much older Harrapan sites, which the British shamelessly pillaged for bricks

Do they genuinely think this will raise sales? It still needs parental consent for teens to get it(I assume, tl;dr), so I'm not seeing a possible increase in consumers.

This is corporate suicide on the levels of jumping off a cliff with explosives around your chest and detonating yourself mid-fall. Impressive.

1) Harrappa is irrelevant since it doesn't contain erotic art.

2) Since both Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro are in Pakistan, and listed as World Heritage Sites by Pakistan, the Indian government's attitude towards those sites is even more irrelevant (though acknowledging that Kaligangan, Banawali, and Rakhigari are in India).

3) We're not asking about whether 10th-century sites should be protected as heritage, but whether you're for or against the promotion of the erotic art at a specific site given your stated staunch opposition to all forms of pornography.

For what it's worth, I freely acknowledge that bricks from Harappa were used in the construction of the Lahore-Multan railway in the 1840s; but this is entirely irrelevant to the present discussion about your stated opposition to all forms of pornography.

See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

Not as hard as all of those penises at Khajuraho, anyway.

I'd say it's worse. Teens can already access softcore(By this I mean what playboy is aiming for) things on the internet, as that content is not censored by most parental control services. I'd even argue that hardcore would've gotten them more sales.
