It looks like everything Simcity 5 could have been but wasn't. I haven't played it much so far, but it has very favourable reviews, and the gameplay/visuals look solid. Also, the development team are pretty devoted to supporting it. I generally read a few reviews and watch a few playthroughs before I decide on a purchase.

I think it's very fun, even if my city sucls.

In SimCity, mine were always very functional, but the designs were always rather similar. I tend to favour optimum design over creative ones, but it occurs to me that isn't very fun. I'll try playing a little differently later.

My cities tend to be rather uniform. I end up just building and extending grids. I think I need to get a little more creative if I'm to have any fun with it. Maybe take inspiration from some other city designs. Not that I've played Skylines much, but I'm in the mood for a little relaxing simulating this evening.

Download the Bismuth Bay map from the Workshop, really fun, it really challenges you to make creative cities.

Road building was my biggest weakness in the SimCity games. I was never good at building highway networks and such.

The citizens and the economy demand a properly functioning infrastructure. Keep that in mind next time you're wondering if you really need another amusement park in your city.

Gotta spend within your means. Bleed the people dry. The city demands it.

How do you stop factories going out of business as a result of higher educated people going to offices? Like I build schools and so the educated people don't go for factory jobs over time as the get more educated.

I know what you're about to say. You're about to say it's an anime where very buff men try to kill vampires using sunlight concentrated in their punches.

I just mentioned that they were shoulder mounted UV-lamps.
