Well, what are you going to college for? What kind of skills did you gain at your last job as a receptionist? What have you been doing in Basketball on your team? Just a team player? Have you helped the coach or someone higher than the coach with stuff? What have you done and what skills have you gained from these things?

I mean, I have a lot of skills (not all of the "hard skills" are necessarily transferable to a job in computers) that I've picked up from doing random shit.

As for the basketball... There's this thing about my team not having a dedicated coach, so... I'm the coach. Unofficially.

I am sure that, if she would sit down and think about what she's got going for her, she'd realize she has more than just her height. Just being tall isn't an "advantage". That's like saying that my eyelashes are an advantage.

And physics. In my junior year of high school, a girl in my class did her independent project on the physics of basketball. She got the second highest grade in the class.

You don't necessarily have to stick to basketball.

There's a lot of things someone with your physical abilities can do that will be equally enjoyable for you.

Also, I don't necessarily have a lot of endurance and I can do a lot of physical labor. Having a lot of endurance is not necessary. Also, like Ethel said, in Basketball you do need quite a bit of endurance, so you must be pretty good at keeping yourself collected.

When I was a kid it was one of the better paying jobs a kid could get.

Watched the movie Field of Lost Shoes last night/this morning. I've been to the battlefield, I know how the battle actually played out. The movie was pretty shit.

Watched the pilot episode of Rescue Me and now am determined to make it through 7 seasons of it in a month.
