"tags" are used to add a thread into someone's ego search ("View your posts") when they want to follow a thread, but are too lazy to actually contribute to the thread with their post. Originating out of the RP forums like NationStates, International Incidents, and F7, "tags" are used to keep tabs on RP's you might be interested in joining or watching. Though technically spam, enforcement of such within those subforums is often lax or nonexistent.

The Bookmark function is superior to tagging a thread, as it allows you to follow the thread without committing it to your ego search, nor does it require a pointless post.

Those couple peoples(called Canaanites) were given millenia to change their evil ways (being hedonistic and decadent and such),but they did not. With the Israelites coming in to the Promised Land, God ordered them to wipe them out to prevent their vaunted polytheism and immorality from infecting Israel and making them forget about God, who was the One who brought them out of slavery in Egypt.

And the Flood was done to destroy the evil people, sparing only eight people in the Ark. These eight were righteous, but the rest of humanity in their time was hedonistic and corrupted. They did not turn from their evil ways even after 125 years of Noah trying to tell them to repent.
