If Satan's to blame... where did Satan come from?

God created Lucifer and all the angels. Satan, or Lucifer, wanted God's power for himself. For his pride, he was kicked out of Heaven along with his minions.

You can't kill the Christian God by button, He is immaterial.
And besides, God is not a fool, to provide a man the right to choose about his death.

"God works in mysterious ways" is unacceptable. By your holy book, Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge and thus acquired the thinking capacity of God. Why can't we understand him if we descend from Adam and Eve?

Because they did not acquired the thinking of God. They simply knew from good and evil (and that's why they covered themselves up)

So you don't know.

God is omniscient, yes? Omnipotent, et cetera, et cetera. Knows all, sees all, can do anything. He knew creating Lucifer would result in his rebellion. He knew Lucifer would go fuck with his creations. He knew they'd eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Since he knew all this, and could have prevented it at any point: Why?

Which brings me to another good question: Why the fuck did he put that tree in the middle of the garden? That's like putting a filet mignon in front of a young puppy and telling him not to eat it, then leaving the damn house - then, when you come back and he ate it, you beat him to death.

If they needed the apples to understand morality, why did God punish them for eating them when he had not given Adam and Eve understanding of right and wrong?

But yes, let's get back on topic.

Exactly. If no one has morals or is even aware of their concept, do they really exist?

Even if God told them not to do something, how should they have known it was wrong to act contrary to his will?

No he didn't. He told Eve the truth. God was the one who lied to them, saying the fruit would kill them (which doesn't really make much sense to a pair of people who have no idea what death is).

They died after they ate the fruit. It does not automatically mean that it would insta kill them, rather they lost their immortality.

Also, "death" also meant separation from God, and loss of fellowship from God.

I suppose so. But I'm staring at Genesis 3 right now and I don't see how the serpent deceives anyone. And again, what does death mean to an immortal?

The passage doesn't say "insta kill" it says that they would die that same day. And it defines what it is meant by "day" just a few verses earlier as a solar day.

Also, "death" also meant separation from God, and loss of fellowship from God.

Well at least God's punishment of "you shall crawl on your belly all of your days" isn't much of a punishment for a snake.
