Russia's GLONASS system needs some serious updating, because it seems to have a problem with not being accurate enough to inform the Russian military when it has crossed international borders.

The provocation in Russia is just hurting everyone’s mood about the global situation. We already feel very miserable: let’s not make it worse that normal life in London comes to a complete halt.

I heard that Russian Electronic Jamming equipment has been spotted, what would they need that for against ISIS and Syrian Opposition groups?

Things like that have present in Syria for a while. No idea what they've been up to with it.

The FSA is a lost card, the only way to end this war is to support the Syrian government or otherwise we are not just gonna have another Libya but a well armed, trained & funded aggressive state.

The US of A and the western "free" media should assist Russia against ISIS.

I think that if moderate rebels cannot be backed then no side should be backed. Russia shouldn't be given assistance so it would wear them out as much as possible.

However other sources are saying that unidentified MiG-29s harassed two Turkish F-16s. I'm not sure if this is related to the other incident, since Turkey called out Russia on that one. Syria uses MiG-29s but I doubt they would actually harass Turkish jets with tensions in the region already so high.

It's funny that Turkey is getting its airspace violated for a change.

It isn't bad when they jets flying near funking Athens but if our planes(Greek) fly within our FIR near their own or neutral airspace they feel violated. :eyebrow:

Russia is just using IS as a pretext for bolstering up Assad's regime.

Not Americans. I think that their actions in Syria might upset some other Middle-Eastern country who may want to intervene in Syria so they might be prepared for scenario like this as well. For example Turkey is increasingly irritated by Russian behavior.

There are no moderates anymore. There are just less extremists such as Al-Nusra. The FSA had a turning pint after the ISIS starting to shooting their former brothers-in-arms as soon as they got enough control.

Hence the speculation that Russia is deliberately violating Turkish air space to show them who's boss.

That is why we pick the lesser of three evils, the lesser being neither IS nor Assad.

And who shall we support? The FSA is lost; the game is over for them. Even if we or Assad had given them power in the end we would have another Libya in ours hands thanks to glorious Barack...

The Assad regime is lost, and far more lost than any of the other groups. What we should concentrate on is eliminating the evil of Daesh.

If you want lesser of three evils, pick the one that doesn't result in more terrorist organizations, that one being Assad.

No, just a terrorist state. The Assad clan won't be able to hold power for much longer anyways, and we aren't going to have another Shah on our hand.

Ummm, FSA a lesser evil? Why do they allow themselves to be aligned with terrorists such as Al-nusra how are as much as bad as ISIS. The FSA has lsot the war, look at both their numbers and territory. They are being shot mostly by ISIS rather than the government; they also sanctioned the burning and looting of christian and shia houses in the siege of Homs-Kobani etc, sorry but it was a good force on the start but they aren't anymore.

So we should side with a government that clearly has no popular legitimacy?
