Desmond Tutu has already, most deservedly, gotten the actual Peace Prize for his work to bring down apartheid, why nominate him for the NSG one as well?

Why not?

Not increasing taxes is irrelevant to the purposes of this prize, and so are balanced budgets. Considering that the best you could say about Ron Paul is "he fights for gun and civil right against the Obama tyranny" , the Committee isn't losing time any further with your nomination, which is REJECTED. Learn to write better motivations, take others as example.

Iran is nominated? I'm withdrawing, I'm definately voting for Iran now.

Let's give a dictatorship a peace price, we gave Saudi Arabia a seat at the Human Rights council, this is the least we can do to our muslim overlords.

You can't withdraw as you failed to post any valid nomination or to second one.
Accepting your support for Iran.
And if you think this prize is ridiculous (learn to spell,by the way), remember that you are not required to post here. We're not amused by your antics.

Looking back at the first edition it seems this has gone a long way from the sarcasm and jaded humor that dominated the nominations.

Or maybe this is a new level of it, like being a hipster ironically

Assuming that this would be meant as a nomination, "nukes" aren't eligible as UNESCO World Heritage.

I am sure Desmond Tutu would feel incredibly honored to hear the internet has given him a prize, but since he has already gotten recognition for his anti-apartheid struggle giving him the prize would seem purposeless to me. If the NSG Peace Prize just hand out prizes to people who has already gotten the nobel prize then I don't really see the point.

I don't think anyone has forgotten Desmond Tutu's accomplishments.

Then either submit one which respects the rules given in the OP and that doesn't look ridiculous to you, or leave.

I nominate Geert Wilders for standing up for our people in the parliament. For more than 10 years he lost his freedom to protect from us from radical islam and massive immigration.
He fights for independence against the evil EU. He comes from the Netherlands.

There is insufficient motive to this nomination at this stage:
  • Considering current events, how does immigration directly lead to the spread of radical beliefs, given that a majority of migrants and refugees are fleeing the Syrian Civil War, and oppression from ISIL/IS/Daesh/whatever you call it?
  • Considering that the EU has done some good deeds, such as rejecting ACTA and reduced barriers to international travel through the Schengen Agreement, how is the EU completely evil?
  • How does immigration directly pose a threat to peace in the Netherlands?
This prize may be satirical, but we also need to look for factual humour, not just ideological beliefs.

If nominations from committee members are accepted, I will nominate the Al Jazeera English Channel (organisation) for insisting that migrants should be seen as refugees instead, hence enticing humanity to have a much softer and respectful heart towards those fleeing conflict or human rights oppression, and to encourage humanity not to assume that all X are Y (in keeping with the spirit of one of the NSG forum rules). They say that the word "migrant" is no longer fit for purpose when it comes to recent events like the events in the Mediterranean Sea and the border crisis.

This nomination is posted separately for organisation reasons, and as the purpose of this post is different to making enquiries to nominations that what I believe needs clarification.

I'd like to nominate Hassan Rouhani, the President of Iran because of his ability to negotiate a historic deal with the United States of America, even when everyone from his Supreme Leader, to many people in his own nation, to many people in America tried to stop him. The deal represents huge progress and may be a huge step for peace in the Middle East. No other issue impacted Peace this year more than this deal and Hassan was the biggest player in it.
Proud supporter of Rand Paul and UKIP. Both will make anime real.

Also Chitoge is best girl.
