I'll be serious and nominate Reverend Desmond Tutu of South Africa. The man was not only a courageous fighter against apartheid, but he still continues to fight corruption, AIDs, poverty, and misinformation today. He does this not only in South Africa, but for his entire continent.

Desmond Tutu has already, most deservedly, gotten the actual Peace Prize for his work to bring down apartheid, why nominate him for the NSG one as well?

Not increasing taxes is irrelevant to the purposes of this prize, and so are balanced budgets. Considering that the best you could say about Ron Paul is "he fights for gun and civil right against the Obama tyranny" , the Committee isn't losing time any further with your nomination, which is REJECTED. Learn to write better motivations, take others as example.

Who wouldn't want to win the NSG peace prize?

I am sure Desmond Tutu would feel incredibly honored to hear the internet has given him a prize, but since he has already gotten recognition for his anti-apartheid struggle giving him the prize would seem purposeless to me. If the NSG Peace Prize just hand out prizes to people who has already gotten the nobel prize then I don't really see the point.

So he can get the recognition he deserves from the greatest minds of three generations.

I don't think anyone has forgotten Desmond Tutu's accomplishments.

There is insufficient motive to this nomination at this stage:

• Considering current events, how does immigration directly lead to the spread of radical beliefs, given that a majority of migrants and refugees are fleeing the Syrian Civil War, and oppression from ISIL/IS/Daesh/whatever you call it?
• Considering that the EU has done some good deeds, such as rejecting ACTA and reduced barriers to international travel through the Schengen Agreement, how is the EU completely evil?
• How does immigration directly pose a threat to peace in the Netherlands?

This prize may be satirical, but we also need to look for factual humour, not just ideological beliefs.

They say that the word "migrant" is no longer fit for purpose when it comes to recent events like the events in the Mediterranean Sea and the border crisis.

I'd like to nominate Hassan Rouhani, the President of Iran because of his ability to negotiate a historic deal with the United States of America, even when everyone from his Supreme Leader, to many people in his own nation, to many people in America tried to stop him. The deal represents huge progress and may be a huge step for peace in the Middle East. No other issue impacted Peace this year more than this deal and Hassan was the biggest player in it.
