Like the lady said. "For now".
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Some idioms do defy explanation and you have to sorta try and translate them. :p

I can do a close translation of most idioms, except some really old ones I probably have no idea what they are :p

Normandy... for WWII history aficionados, is an interesting place. The land, particularly closest to the coast, is dotted with the architectural ghosts of the Nazi war machine. Spooky.

Manchego is one of Spanish goat cheeses. My husband hates it, I love the taste.

Unfortunately, Manchego is very pricey in the US and what you get is very little.

You can always try it in the US, just prepare yourself to pay between $16 (the cheapest I've seen it) and $20. Media Storehouse prices a small portion like the one shown in the photo at $81. Fucking insane.

$16-$20 is reasonable. I thought it was over $100. :p
