I had no idea that people lost loved ones to terrorists on 9/11.

Lots of people, all over the world, have lost their loved ones to terrorists. I get the importance of 9/11 to those directly affected by it, but it's not some kind of utterly sacred moment in human history which can never be discussed, its anniversary is even less so and in fact is the ideal time to discuss its causes and consequences, and it is not the worst thing ever to happen. It's not even the worst thing ever to happen in the United States.

This is why the Allies wanted unconditional surrender, the conditions were simply unnacceptable. IIRC the Japanese conditions included immunity from war crimes and being allowed to keep captured territories.

They'd have no reason not to go to war, quick conquer someone else's land, then call for peace with no consequence whatsoever.

It was actually 2,605 Americans who died. There were 372 foreign fatalities, 391 if you count the terrorists.

No you fucking do not get to do that. 9/11 affected the entire world. People from 90 countries died in the attacks, and hundreds of thousands of people died or lost their homes or loved ones during the invasions we launched because of it. They suffered too, AND YOU DO NOT GET TO IGNORE THAT SUFFERING JUST BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TO PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES!

Even if I wasn't an American (which I am), I'd still have the right to be here, because this is an open forum, and you don't get to tell people to fuck off because you don't like what they're saying.

There have been thousand of Middle Eastern families torn apart because of the war on terror. There have been bloodlines fucking eliminated. Children scared of blue skies because that's when the drones fly.

Excuse me if I find imperialistic nationalism/patriotism rather disgusting.

I dont particularly like America or the West as a whole. I respect the fact that people died most of whom were innocent, but you need to bloody stop talking about it every year, It serves no purpose by this point and the more you seem to bring it up, the more people that believe it was a plot backed by the American government (Atleast where I live).

Was too young to remember it, I was only three.

I think I can vaguely remember seeing footage of the towers on fire on the TV, probably not live, but from the weeks following the attack. Later on, I sort of just learned what had happened and didn't really give it much thought after.

However, seeing 102 Minutes that Changed the World last night, how truly horrible it must have been, especially to see it unfolding like that...

Honestly, every time it gets brought up around me, I only grow more adamant about how Middle Easterners have suffered far more than us because of it.
