What's your guy's problem with Edinson Volquez and Yordano Ventura?

Volquez once called Blue Jays "crybabies", when they complained after he made 3 HBPs on Blue Jays players. Twice on Donaldson and once on Tulowitzki. Toronto fans do not like him very much after that.

Ventura has a history of line brawls and foul attitudes towards opposition players, including, but not limited to, swearing at players reaching their first base after a hit, hitting batters and then pouring some swear words at them, and arguing with the 1B coach after he lets a hit.

I want to hit him when he goes to Flushing.

Too bad it's in KC, or else he would have to actually bat and take his chances of getting pegged himself. Not saying that the Mets would do that, but that would be kind of cool and ironic.

And all games are at 8 ET in the World Series this year just fyi.

Call me crazy, but I like that about the AL. It significantly reduces the risk of injury to pitchers, and most of them suck ass at hitting, anyway.

Sure, but it contradicts the whole idea that every player plays defense and offense. It makes strategies more difficult in the NL, for example pinch hitting or, for a more specific example, like how on the Cubs Maddon has to account for Schwarber's piece of shit fielding ability and has to put him in the field. In the NL there are no freebies, and by that I mean that if a player sucks at fielding you can't just stick him in the DH spot. Basically the reason why I do not like the DH rule is that it makes it so that you don't actually have to be a good overall baseball player to make the starting lineup, which cheapens the game. A thing I would also like to point out is that if the DH rule existed in the AL several years earlier, Babe Ruth would hardly be remembered, and if we did we would only remember him as a hot-headed pitcher on the Red Sox who had a few decent seasons.

Just curious: Why is there a singing of "God Bless America" at every end of the 7th inning?

Why does every player need to play offense and defense? This isn't basketball. Teams can be specialized along offensive and defensive roles in at least a limited manner.

It makes strategies more difficult in the NL, for example pinch hitting or, for a more specific example, like how on the Cubs Maddon has to account for Schwarber's piece of shit fielding ability and has to put him in the field.

I don't understand how this is a good thing.

In the NL there are no freebies, and by that I mean that if a player sucks at fielding you can't just stick him in the DH spot. Basically the reason why I do not like the DH rule is that it makes it so that you don't actually have to be a good overall baseball player to make the starting lineup, which cheapens the game.

How does providing a team better roster flexibility cheapen the game?

A thing I would also like to point out is that if the DH rule existed in the AL several years earlier, Babe Ruth would hardly be remembered, and if we did we would only remember him as a hot-headed pitcher on the Red Sox who had a few decent seasons.

The DH rule would not have precluded Babe Ruth from being there greatest baseball player because team executives aren't stupid. They would have recognized that his hitting ability greatly exceeded even his pitching, and would have had him play outfield from the outset of his career. As a result his career batting statistics would have been far more impressive than they already are.
