Well I vehemently disagree.
Miniskirts are awesome for women to wear.
Muslims can either assimilate or stop complaining. This is the western world, and I could give less of a fuck about pissing them off.

Going for the UK-based sources here, I think I might have found the root of the problem.
The Telegraph is a newspaper whose integrity and journalistic quality is in steep decline, while the Daily Mail is a (frequently Islamophobic) professional bullshit factory and "Jihad Watch" is a radically Islamophobic bullshit factory taken even less seriously than the Daily Mail.

But on another note, stupid logic. I recall stories of American schools banning their own flags out of fear of offending someone. They need to meet us half way; We respect their customs, they respect ours. I blame lawyers.

No, I recall an American school receiving a lot of backfire that had something to do with American Pledge in Arabic.

Well, if we're applying extremist ideologies, I'd argue it was more fascist seeing as the aim is to provide uniformity, but I digress. 'Dress codes', or 'school uniforms' as schools in Britain have, really aren't anything to get fussed over. I couldn't care less about what I have to wear. But the justification does make sense; it's preparing you for the world of work. You wouldn't go to an interview in a miniskirt after all.

Yep. And you can imagine the ludicrous backlash.
