American College Football(NCAAF) 2015-2016 Discussion Thread

I'm certain this topic may have been covered to death, but I think an eight-team championship bracket would be just about ideal. Yes, the drama would shift to spots 7 and 8, where the selection criteria would be a bit fuzzier, but four extra teams and adding only one extra game to the schedule...could be the best balance, in my opinion.

Four teams does kinda sorta have a clearer focus on the best of the best, but those third and fourth spots have so many good contenders. And it would mean fewer teams being shamefully robbed in favour of Alabama.

When I first got to Oregon from Canada, I was like, "All right! Go Oregon teams!"

I was swiftly disabused of this foolishness by folks who insisted, "No, muthaf*cka! You gotta pick one: Ducks or Beavers!"

Alberta, where I'm from, is very similar with the Edmonton-Calgary thing, so I understood. What I didn't know was that practically every other state has a similar civil war-type rivalry. I gotta say, it's pretty cool, and easy to get caught up in.

Although Buckeyes bandwagoneers don't seem to even be aware that there's such a thing as the Ohio Bobcats....

Beavers aren't terribly good either - though better than Ohio, at least in football - but they have a pretty rabid fan base here. Ohioans seem nearly unanimous in their backing the school that just happens to do better in the sport. That's the bandwagon I was referring to. Though the Bobcat fans do seem to poke out their heads for basketball.

At the rate things are going, they'll play Baylor or TCU or maybe Florida (seriously, the 3/4 spot is gonna get crazy as the season winds down), and probably wind up getting blown the fuck out, because this offense is struggling even against total joke teams like Illinois.

The only reason they're in the top four currently is because they're undefeated. But this team very obviously sucks out loud and is playing a cupcake-riddled schedule.
