I'm certain this topic may have been covered to death, but I think an eight-team championship bracket would be just about ideal. Yes, the drama would shift to spots 7 and 8, where the selection criteria would be a bit fuzzier, but four extra teams and adding only one extra game to the schedule...could be the best balance, in my opinion. :)

Four teams does kinda sorta have a clearer focus on the best of the best, but those third and fourth spots have so many good contenders. And it would mean fewer teams being shamefully robbed in favour of Alabama. :P

Yeah, but they were rolling those cupcakes. They're not rolling the cupcakes this year.

OSU's wins were not that convincing last year either.

Michigan can get to the title game by: winning out, having OSU beat MSU, and Michigan beating OSU. I can smell that trip to Indy right now!
In solidarity with Ukraine, I will be censoring the letters Z and V from my signature. This is -ery much so a big change, but it should be a -ery positi-e one. -olodymyr -elensky and A-o- continue to fight for Ukraine while the Russians are still trying to e-entually make their way to Kharki-, -apori-h-hia, and Kry-yi Rih, but that will take time as they are concentrated in areas like Bakhmut, -uledar, and other areas in Donetsk. We will see Shakhtar play in the Europa League but Dynamo Kyi- already got eliminated. Shakhtar managed to play well against Florentino Pere-'s Real Madrid who feature superstars like -inicius, Ben-ema, Car-ajal, and -al-erde. Some prominent Ukrainian players that got big transfers elsewhere include Oleksander -inchenko, Illya -abarnyi, and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Nah, that's dirt you're smelling.

Dirt we're gonna make Michigan EAT when we play them! :lol2:

When I first got to Oregon from Canada, I was like, "All right! Go Oregon teams!"

I was swiftly disabused of this foolishness by folks who insisted, "No, muthaf*cka! You gotta pick one: Ducks or Beavers!"

Alberta, where I'm from, is very similar with the Edmonton-Calgary thing, so I understood. What I didn't know was that practically every other state has a similar civil war-type rivalry. I gotta say, it's pretty cool, and easy to get caught up in.

Although Buckeyes bandwagoneers don't seem to even be aware that there's such a thing as the Ohio Bobcats.... :p

I know the Ohio team exists, and I also know they're not good.

For the record, I am not a bandwagoner! I actually like Ohio State! :)

Beavers aren't terribly good either - though better than Ohio, at least in football - but they have a pretty rabid fan base here. Ohioans seem nearly unanimous in their backing the school that just happens to do better in the sport. That's the bandwagon I was referring to. Though the Bobcat fans do seem to poke out their heads for basketball. :P

The only reason they're in the top four currently is because they're undefeated. But this team very obviously sucks out loud and is playing a cupcake-riddled schedule.

And they had a cupcake schedule last year. Then they whipped Ala-flipping-Bama with a third-string QB.

Bama would've won if Joey would've kept feeding Henry. But apparently if we do that it hurts the quarterback's feelings.

And people say I'm stupid for wanting Bama to fire him.

Let them, because they obviously haven't paid any attention to the terrible playcalling that jackass has when Bama needs it least.

Just look at the playoff game last year.

The Duke-Miami game proves that gambling has corrupted this sport.

Draft Kings and Fan Duel promise billions in payouts! All that money means more pressure than ever exerted against the fragile system of rulekeeping.

All the refs in that game were fired. But! If indeed they had been corrupted by a hefty cash bribe, maybe they don't care?

We have become much too lax about the potential for corruption caused by gambling.

Ugh, Harris is obviously still not ready for the big time. This whole Grier thing is kicking our asses, as much as being 4-1 can count as “getting our asses kicked.” Still, a win is a win. South Carolina learned that the hard way today. :D

I suspected this could be Ohio State's first loss. Michigan State in recent years have given them fits and defensively they're breddy gud with their coverage schemes.
