It's obviously that awesome blue turf. Utah State got jealous and
tore 'em up for it.

YOU SEE, BOISE STATE?! THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!!!

The blue turf is the worst excuse in football for losing to a "mid-major" team. :p

Dat's why it was a joke.

I know. I'm talking about whenever a team from a bigger and better conference loses to Boise - there's always the inevitable blue turf comment. Same thing from some dumb football fans, too, honestly. OMG IT WAS DERE TURF

Honestly, I love the blue terf. I say LSU should get purple turf immediately. :lol2:

Imagine if Boise State beat Alabama. "OH MY GOSH IT WAS THE BLUE TURF!!!"

Boise is like, "No, it's not the Blue Terf that made you lose, it was the Red Tide that
couldn't keep rolling." XD

Reasons why Joey Freshwater is a terrible OC: he decides to get cute with the playcalling instead of running it up the middle on a team that can't stop the run.

I wonder if USC wants him back.

EDIT: aaaannndd we're going to lose. BIRMINGHAM BOWL HERE WE COME!

THERE GOES DAVIS WATTS-JACKSON

Why punt when you can just have your QB run around and run the clock out?

So does this mean we stop playing Kick Six all the time?

Not that bad of a poll this week. Pittsburgh doesn't deserve to be ranked, but other than that, not too much to complain about here.

I did learn that Ryan Kelly is essential in our running game. With that backup center, we couldn't do as much running as we did with Kelly. Still impressed with our 3 pick-six's. Don't think I've ever seen them have more than one in a game, to be honest.

I think the pick-six's are what won the game. 21 points off turnovers is incredible. This was all against a pretty solid TAMU QB duo, too. I think Bama runs away with the SEC West if Ole Miss loses in the division. That's the SEC West's only shot at being in the playoff, unless there are multiple 2-loss Power Five champs.

Ole Miss is falling hard. It's either Alabama or LSU at this point, barring a major upset to either. Hopefully, it's LSU - I like Fournette and I hate Alabama.

At least if we lose to LSU it won't be because we had 13 guys on the field. :P

Last time Bama ever played Memphis was in 1991, back when they were still called Memphis State. Bama won 10-7.

Although, there are some people arguing on r/cfb that Memphis should be ahead of Alabama in the AP since they beat Ole Miss. Which pretty much means either Bama drops below #18 or Memphis jumps to the Top 10. The latter could only happen in shootyhoops, so I assume they mean the former.

Straight-up is applicable in certain situations, but it's absurd when applied in that manner and to that degree. Alabama's the better team at this moment.

Also, you're forgetting October 10th, 1987: "Memphis beat the #15 Crimson Tide 13-10 at the Liberty Bowl on a sun drenched October afternoon. The Tigers held the Crimson Tide to only 95 yards of total offense in the second half. Memphis would finish the season 5-5-1."

Yeah, and besides Big 10 and Big 12 teams (Ohio State and Oklahoma specifically), nobody outside the SEC can really beat Alabama right now. I mean, A&M just got totally throttled. I dunno who else (besides LSU, lol) could beat them right now...

Because Toledo ran the table on their FBS opponents and Wisconsin lost to Iowa...not saying it's fair, but that's how it is.

We'll see how my Illini do against the Badgers this weekend, that should give a clearer picture of where everyone stands in the Big 10 West.

If Ole Miss wins out and LSU loses in conference then Ole Miss takes the SEC West. I think LSU loses soon, and Ole Miss gets their swagger back.
