It certainly enabled us to find that humans have a surprisingly low amount of genetic variation -- an amount much too small to allow us to categorize humans into "races." And what little variation we have is on the individual level and the majority of which is found within "races" than between them.

For me, the worst thing about watching racists try to claim that their racism is justified by science is seeing them also go through the mental gymnastics of shifting their definition of "race" wherever they're backed into a corner. You'd think that people who supposedly pride themselves on being scientific would know that you can't just change the definition of a term according to your personal whims simply for the convenience of making your claim easier to argue for.

I wasn't saying it's a race thing. I know professors always do that, but you know given OP's thought process it shouldn't have happened because my stepfather being black = him being less intelligent and therefore no white professor would automatically be able to do better simply for being white.

Luckily my stepfather kept proper track of all of his work so he could prove that it was stolen. Prof wasn't fired (surprise *sarcasm*) but pretty much the paper now has my stepfather as one of the author's and acknowledges that he did pretty much all of the work.

It must have been extra awkward when about two years or so later the same prof was one of those he had to defend his PhD thesis to.

See, I've been too /pol/ A lot of them call themselves beta, but just as many boast about being a part of GLORIOUS ARYAN MASTER RACE and being better than the "lesser" races.
