Ah. Well let me tell you(I'm gay just so everyone knows)

A white blonde, or ginger guy(doesn't have to be particular) with a bit of a slender frame(I'm not all into muscles or anything of the sort) that maybe wears glasses and talks in an incredibly nerdy voice. Someone who I can have deep conversations with about the issues of the day, and someone who I can passionately cuddle with(sex isn't everything to me, just cuddling and holding hands it enough) and who can hold me, kiss me and say they love me.
Draica is a Federal Republic nation ran by conservatives and Libertarians! If you ever wanna rp a state visit, a war, a debate with one of my leaders or a conservative/libertarian philosopher, or just wanna tg me in general(I like TGs) drop me a TG!
Allies: Pantorrum, Korgenstin, Zebraltar, Kiribati-Tarawa, Democratic Sabha. Idoa, Allaena, Lledia.
Enemies: Arkania 5, any communist nation, Drakorvanyia.
Wars:

The Draican-Arkanian war: On-going

The Waldensian-Draican-Kiribati Cold War: Won. Dissolution of Communist Government in Waldensia

The Draican-Die erworbenen Namen war: Draica successfully defended, retaliation called off.

Yeah, the moral of that story wasn't really that they're the type to emulate, you know since it got them killed for nothing in the end and everything. I'm a romantic and can be pretty damn sappy at some times, and have done stupid things and gotten hurt over them before for love (there's a good reason I love and relate to Harley Quinn), but I'm not about to commit suicide for love.

Female, a devout traditionalist Catholic, conservatively leaning(ok, archconservative), wanting a big family, and ideally white, because I don't want to have to explain miscegenation to my grandparents. Frugality, a good sense of humor, being smaller than me, interest in history and the classics, high intelligence etc. are all positives.

Someone who's both sensible and has a good sense of humor (or at least tolerates my extremely offensive jokes), is confident, is interested in a wide range of topics, has hopes and aspirations, can think for themselves and who has a body which is complements itself, for lack of a better word.

Like, someone who's body is proportioned well and suits them-

dark hair and a fairly high stature are also good :D

Well, I'd prefer a girl who is nerdy, perverted, and furry, just as it's lined up in the poll. Sexy is a plus, but paper bags can do wonders but I find personality sexy anyway.

Make a thread and poll for boys, since apparently ideal romantic partners is restricted to one gender or the other.

The poll is silly. So there's that.

As for ideal? No such thing. Sure, you can come up with this list or idea of what it is you think you want, and pass up who knows how many potentially outstanding relationships, or at the least, friendships, in your tireless pursuit of this vision of perfection you've concocted, and most likely end up like my sister - 3 years younger than me, and still single, and not happy about it.

And she's the pretty one. Go fig.

Or you can know what you can work with, and what you can't, what you can accept, and what you won't, where you're willing to compromise and perhaps grow, and where you are secure and unbending on, and see where things take you.

Of course there will be things you like or dislike about people, but they don't come in cookie-cutter perfect packages. Example: I love my husband. He still has things about him that drive me absolutely nuts. Oddly, like the overly-loud snoring? It's one of those things I actually miss when he's not here. Again, go fig. Our minds do the damndest things to us that way.

So yeah - like who and what you like, by all means, but ditch the 'ideal' silliness. Get out there, experience life, expand your horizons, learn what does and doesn't actually work for you, and where you can do with a little stretching and adjusting, and live life.

Or not. *shrugs and smiles* Up to you.

What I don't like about the poll is that we can only choose one option. In fact, many people fall in love because of a combination of those factors, not just one.

I go on the internet to escape reality and indulge in the unlikely, fantasy, out of this world stuff that makes up ones dreams and hopes Not in "logic" and "wisdom". Everyone already knows the message, "you need to look for what is inside and learn to compromise". You hear it everyday and the message is already received, no need to reiterate what is already known and understood. The point of the internet is to say FU to all of those things and leave it behind in the dust. This thread is meant to be fun and as a medium to indulge oneself and escape from the soul shattering, and utterly completely and uncompromising boredom that is reality and realism.
