On the second and related note, one from a group that experiences systematic discrimination is usually capable of seeing and empathizing with those in a similar situation, while also acknowledging the differences between the two and the conflicts that may arise as such. One should be able to work through those conflicts(Or at the very least attempt to do so) to achieve a mutual understanding. There's something quite jarring when one flat out refuses to try.
