Gay Boys and the Locker Room

Postby Rhodmhire » Thu Jan 28, 2010 3:29 pm

Because I love Hammurab's son, I decided to make this after pondering the idea: combined from suggesting ways for Hammurab's son to be saved from the evils of homosexuality by...no I won't get into details...and thinking about something I never thought about until just now.

Considering that I know absolutely nothing about how laws, or people, would normally view a scenario like this, I'm not going to touch on laws/opinions, or even try and give you a linky because I don't like you that much.

But I do like Hammurab's son, and would rather not see him fall into this firey pit of illness.

So basically what happened was a group of my friends and I were talking about President Grey-Hair's State of the Union address last night, and one of the things that came up was, obviously, Don't Ask Don't Tell. While this has nothing to do with it (and please don't bring it up), it got us talking about, what else, locker rooms.

Apparently my friends think the United States Military is a prison and/or High School locker room after football practice (which it probably is to some extent), and used that to try and tell me I was going to hell for supporting Don't Ask Don't Tell being lifted (or whatever the correct term is).

However, the lockers being brought up did make me think for a few seconds before my girlfriend showed up (ha, right, like I really have, let alone need a girl in my life at all, let alone one who's my friend).

Considering homosexual teenagers, like heterosexual teenagers, have sexual urges (I think, hey I'm not homosexual, how would I...wait a minute, then why would I do that to his son? God I'm so disgusting) and therefore would probably love for nothing more than to be in a relatively small, crowded room full of half naked sweaty guys (just like Buffy and I would love to be in a room full of half naked sweaty girls), I have to wonder what the regulations and stipulations are concerning this, but more importantly what you guys think.

I suppose, in a way, it'd almost be like me--a horny teenage it--being put in the middle of a girls' locker room to change. And that'd be...

...Hmm, well we are all human beings, right?

So what do you think. Does it matter? Would it be discriminatory to act upon it? If it's taken into action, how should it be resolved? Should they change with girls seeing as though they aren't sexually attracted to them? Would that just be awwwkkkkkwaaaarrrrd? Should they have their own changing room? Should we simply not act at all?

How would you deal with the situation, and more importantly, how would Hammurab's son be involved in all of this?

Ah, the locker room. So fucking arousing, and so fucking awkward all at once. Anyway, letting guys and girls change in the same locker room sounds like a shockingly bad idea. But hey, what do I know... :p

In general, it's much more nerve racking for the gay kid than the straight kid. The straight kid probably doesn't even notice that he's getting checked out. The gay kid, on the other hand, is generally pretty desperate to not be called out.

Keep it as it stands.

You know nothing, I can only begin to imagine how revolutionary that would be.

For us, anyways, not the entire too-be pregnant girl population, that is.

If you stick the gay boys in with the girls, you still have the problem of the girls being aroused. While less visible, girls DO have sexual urges.

(I do hope Hammurab's son gets cured of his horrid affliction...)

Oddly, after the equivalent of gym in my school, not a single grade goes to a locker room for any reason. No changing, no showers, no anything. Considering there are only two shower heads (located in two separate bathrooms) that might be a little difficult. Not even in high school. I am on the swim team, and that's a different story though. Ah, so many stories... Actually, not really. We go in. We change/talk. We get out. None of us are particularly interested in each others naked genitals. :?

EDIT-- And yes, there are a couple of self proclaimed gays on the team, but the situation I laid out still stands.

why stop and at just mixing sexes when we can potentially cause serious mental issues with the sight of hairy 50-something year old men? I figure this will kill those pesky hormones!

the girls can keep separate changing rooms as everyone knows all female athletes are obvious carpet munchers.

I thought it was fully known that the only way to figure out if your gay or not is to see if your get turned on in the changing rooms.

Strange that the high school doesn't change...we never showered, but there would be no way in hell I would do any sport in clothing I was then going to wear for the rest of the day. Jeans are not conducive to athletic activities, and smelling like sweat is not conducive to a social life.

It's not that bad if everyone else has done it. Plus it's called half a can of deodorant. 8)

Homophibia is wino--damn it that just doesn't roll off the tongue.

I tried not to give an opinion, if it sounded like I'd be against just leaving it as it is--I probably worded it wrong like I always do--or I was just stating the reason why it would even be an issue of concern, which would be the potential to put the non-homosexual boys in an environment of uncomfortability, and/or the possibility of teh evil gaiz obeying their Lord Pedobear and doing the unthinkable thought.

Even though I don't believe that, and since I stated in the OP that I was against Don't Ask Don't Tell remaining, it's kind of hard to say I'm a homophobe, if that's what you were saying, anyways.

Does someone who supports/supported the Civil Rights movement back in the 60s automatically not a racist? Or simply have the possibility of not being a racist, with several other possibilities that could very well include being a racist?
