Overall the population should be unarmed, and the police and government should disarm alongside them except in the areas where it proves absolutely necessary (such as the military, for example).

As for the question itself, I feel like the current amount of gun control in the US would be fine if it was more thoroughly upheld and things like mental health records were easier for dealers to access.

Yeah, My state could use less gun control(Massachusetts.)
The final say in a license in MA is permission of your town or citys chief of police.
I know someone who was denied the first few times. She does competitions, She practices good gun control, got no criminal record, Hell she literally used to be a freaking NUN.
The first time she applied the police chief was having a bad day so he said no.

Miniguns are legal. However the cost to fire is like 60,000 dollars a second, so its less expensive to literally beat someone to death with gold bullion

A M134 fires from 2,000 to 6,000 rounds per minute. Assuming the maximum speed of 6,000 rounds per minute, you're probably talking about $3,000 per minute of holding down the happy switch (assuming sustained fire).

Maybe less if you use cheap reman ammo.

Edit: As low as 40 cents a round here.

If I'm shooting a $250,000 minigun, I'm going to use factory ammunition (that way, if the ammo blows up my minigun, I can sue the ammo manufacturer to repair/replace it).

Good point. If you can afford the gun, you should be able to afford to feed it the good stuff.

Edit: Been window shopping for ammo at the site I linked (and others) to feed the guns I will buy in Texas. :)

Not at all, any gun control at all will lead to a dictatorship!
guns shuld b legal for all (everyone shuld b able to have nukes without background check or waiting period) and everyone should do gun saftey training, gun saftey training should be highly encouraged and easily accessable to all, exsept those legally in prison for
Murder, severe physical abuse/neglect, rape, and severe sexual assault:
Life in prison.

Mild-moderate physical abuse/neglect and pointing a gun at an innocent person:
Victim and at least 12 members of the public from that neighborhood (following jury rules), decide if and when they want to let offender out.

Theft(except for stealing from rich people richer than you to give to the poor, collecting debt(=uncoerced contracted) from debtor or collecting legal fines/fees/compensation from owers, allowing debtor/ower to keep up to $33,000man made property value exempt from collection,):
Fine and must give back stolen item or pay equivalent value to their victim.
if thieve owes a huge amount, maybe ankle bracelet and surveillance, if able and unwilling to work on ankle bracelet maybe prison, to help make sure they pay what they owe.
Freemopia’s Laws: http://www.nationstates.net/nation=free ... /id=170897

according to gov, the "nutters" are everyone exsept gov.
if you wana feel safe, get a gun so if needed to save your life you can destruct anyone that tries to destruct you
everyone needs guns, not just police and farmers.
if u wana ban all guns, walk up to the military unarmed and try to take all the guns they have now. lol.
its impossible to ban all guns. banning something never made it go away ex drugs. if you think guns cant do any good, never call the cops when someone breaks into your house and rapes and tortures you and your children.

people should and most w guns do safety training(because they dont want to accidently hurt themself or others) w/o it being mandatory.
no licensing, gov isnt smarter or better than everyone else, on average gov is more corrupt and dumber.
no prooveing you can handle it safely to anyone.

Lets see now...first off I completely oppose Open Carry of firearms in public as it seems to only serve to allow thugs to intimidate people.
I also think that gun shows should be more regulated and that they should have to face the same restrictions that gun stores do.
I also think some kind of registry should be implemented, not for all gun owners of course, maybe just have a list for anyone who owns more then say 5 guns in their homes or something so that these things can be properly investigated.

Recreation? Hunting? Home Defense? No problem.
