Other than active duty military personnel, and specialist squads within the police forces, I oppose the idea of letting anyone who does not need a firearm for subsistence own a firearm, with strict regulations for ownership and heavy penalties for those who own illegal firearms, and with a policy focus in reducing the need for subsistence firearms. Overall the population should be unarmed, and the police and government should disarm alongside them except in the areas where it proves absolutely necessary (such as the military, for example).

The day that goes into effect, is the day that I get a hunting license.

As for the question itself, I feel like the current amount of gun control in the US would be fine if it was more thoroughly upheld and things like mental health records were easier for dealers to access.

I know someone who was denied the first few times. She does competitions, She practices good gun control, got no criminal record, Hell she literally used to be a freaking NUN.

Good point. If you can afford the gun, you should be able to afford to feed it the good stuff.

Lets see now...first off I completely oppose Open Carry of firearms in public as it seems to only serve to allow thugs to intimidate people.
I also think that gun shows should be more regulated and that they should have to face the same restrictions that gun stores do.
I also think some kind of registry should be implemented, not for all gun owners of course, maybe just have a list for anyone who owns more then say 5 guns in their homes or something so that these things can be properly investigated.

Recreation? Hunting? Home Defense? No problem.
