Vaping e-cigarettes is just as bad as smoking cigarettes. It releases very high levels of formaldehyde, an incredibly dangerous carcinogen.

Of course it should be banned in public places. It's a public health issue.

Bullshit. The amount of time it takes for a vape to release those carcinogens is much, much longer than a user can actually take a drag off of it. And the vapor usually evaporates within a couple seconds of leaving the user's mouth. So it affects no one else.

That organisation is funded by corporations which produce e-cigarettes, so it is an unreliable source due to the conflict of interest.

If you vaped for even 2 seconds at the temperature necessary to release formaldehyde, your throat would burn and you would puke your guts out. The study they did, they didn't use human subjects, they used a machine. Because again, humans don't vape at that temperature.

Also, major corporations aren't the suppliers of the vape community. Tobacco companies produce disposable cig-a-likes which are not satisfying or useful to vapers. We use pens and box mods that are sold by small businesses in our community.

My vaping habit doesn't give a dime to Phillip Morris and Altria.

I used to. I smoked English Ovals, Half and Half cigs, and unfiltered Herbert Tareyton.

I quit when my son was born. He's never seen me smoke.

I quit smoking back in September. I wouldn't say I wanted to but I've realized that the beneficial calm is outweighed by the health and financial problems it causes (here in NY they really are $9 per pack). Plus I started on my 18th birthday so I did it just because I was able to, eventually a year later I just lost interest

They're also good social stimulants. Very useful to ‘break-the-ice’.

I am a spontaneous person, so it isn't really necessary for me to be honest. But (sadly,) it's true that they are social stimulants.

One good thing about Missouri is the miniscule tax on tobacco. Hell you can get a pack of certain kinds for less than $5 if you aren't picky.
