White Pride: A good thing?

Divided on the matter, I don't believe it's something worth being prideful over but I also disagree with "White guilt", so if one exists so much the other.

I dont believe in pride based on skin color, but it makes me mad how a black-skinned person can yell out black pride and will get a response of applause, while a white-skinned person will be called a racist and insensitive by doing so.

Could be. The collective grunt of subhumans with white skin is no more, or less impressive than that of those with other pigmentations.

pride is normally a bad thing to start with. i think it is best to try to stay as humble as possible having just enough self confidence and ego that is absolutely necessary. many evil things have been done in the name of pride. especially, and i must say this because its true, in the name of 'white' pride. why would anyone be proud of a such a flimsy construct as race anyways. who decides who is white, who is peach and who is marble :lol2:

to everyone its different so be proud of what you will and love yourself no matter what you are in the eyes of others.

Unfortunately, the existence of racism and white supremacy sours the whole thing. If such things didn't exist, no one would be concerned about white pride. It might be seen as a positive thing. Since they do exist, suspicions are raised, and justifiably so.

I think the problem people find with pride in melanin is "to be proud of the latitude and climate one was born into".

Being proud of having tanned skin is akin to saying "I'm proud of being born between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn and in a savannah?" I mean there are better things to be proud of like helping a friend or volunteering in a soup kitchen. Being proud of something you have no control over is a bit superficial.

Why would you ever take pride in something you haven't achieved yourself? What purpose would that pride serve?

Indeed, there's that white pride then there's pride in being part of a race which not only linked the world but has with other races, come together (mostly) to advance human progress

The double standard would be to act like white pride and black pride are the same.

I should note that white guilt actually gets in the way of being able to deal with systemic racism in a constructive manner.
