In Germany, we call them Bavarians.
Though in their defense, they're protesting the building of an electrical grid. But only through Bavaria. They're fine with most of it going through other states so long as they get the link to the northern windfarms.

Conservative logic. I do assume Bavaria didn't suddenly develop a predilection for social democrats in recent years.

One company here has solar panel calculator where you can estimate on costs and savings and I think that sort of estimate was given. Of course during the winter it needs to be supported with something else.
