Diversity and change are not inherently bad things. They're how human beings are more than one tribe of hunter-gatherers or something in Africa. For that matter, they're how humans exist at all (see the Theory of Evolution).

You seem to be implying that having Portuguese citizenship implies that someone is of a Portuguese ethnicity, which isn't the case. There are several ethnic groups who have a Portuguese citizenship and aren't Portuguese ethnically. The percentage of the citizens of Portugal who are ethnically Portuguese are 93%, being 7% several different ethnicities.

Can I ask you what is your definition of racism is? Also why it is bad? It obviously is, but if it is obvious, it should be easy to explain. We might have different reasons why racism is bad.

Racism is the belief that one arbitrary grouping of phenotypically similar humans is superior to other arbitrary groupings of phenotypically similar humans. Unfortunately while preserving diversity is generally a good thing, racists have latched on to that as a defense for their worldview and smokescreen for their less socially acceptable views.

People do realize Ethnicity and race meant two different things right? an Ethnic Pole and I would be the same race but we'd be of different ethnicities. I'd probably date people of different ethnicities if I were more likely to meet them as it is I just don't seem meet many people of different ethnicities for any kind of extended period of time.

Never been a problem. I'm mixed race. However you look at it, in a large sum of cases I'd end up dating outside one or the other bloodline.
I don't give it any thought though, it's a non-factor when I weigh pros and cons of being with someone.
