Pity. A rainbow would be nifty.

Except the drill missed my asshole by like 4 inches.
Also, who's the fucking lawyer asshole who said, verbatim, "Thousands of voices were ignored by the Supreme Court because of this decision."
That's, like, Stephen Colbert levels of Poe's Law stupid.
Why doesn't he just say it like it is and say "Dozens of voices were ignored by the Supreme Court."

I think it counts of some kind of exceptionalism that you use "other countries" as a synonym for white, rich western countries.

Yes, so let's all drink whiskey and praise sexual immorality! You have no idea what the Bible teaches.
Hating sin is not a sin. Yes, God loves gays and all sinners, but he wants them to repent. God hates sin, not sinners.
"Hate the sin and not the sinner" is a precept which, though easy enough to understand, is rarely practiced, and that is why the poison of hatred spreads in the world... Man and his deed are two distinct things. It is quite proper to resist and attack a system, but to resist and attack its author is tantamount to resisting and attacking one-self. For we are all tarred with the same brush and are children of one and the same Creator, and as such the divine powers within us are infinite. To slight a single human being is to slight those divine powers, and thus to harm not only that being, but with him, the whole world.

That quote is neither Christian or correct. It's a paraphrase of what St. Augustine stated and done by a Hindu and served to attack the entire concept. Let's trundle out the entire quote instead as originally presented by the Mahatma:"Hate the sin and not the sinner" is a precept which, though easy enough to understand, is rarely practiced, and that is why the poison of hatred spreads in the world... Man and his deed are two distinct things. It is quite proper to resist and attack a system, but to resist and attack its author is tantamount to resisting and attacking one-self. It is undeniable by anyone sane that the red thread running throughout all of Jesus Christ's teachings was "Love thy neighbour", in fact it was the one which he considered was the principal commandement, and if people kept that one they would automatically keep all the rest of them. The entire concept of "Hating the sin" but not the sinner is obviously self-contradictory (who on Earth has ever accomplished to simultaneosly hate all sins and love all people without prejudice?) and obviously serves the singular purpose of corrupting the teachings of Jesus and legitimizing the very concept Jesus opposed in his name. Has everybody forgotten "Judge ye not, lest ye be judged?" and the entire parable about hypocrisy? Or are they just casually brushing it aside as if it doesn't matter?
Congratulations America. Hopefully the hypocrites will have fun when Judgement Day comes in five to ten billions years.
