June 26, the beginning of the end! With this terrible thing being legalized, what next will they legalize? Infant genocide(oh wait they already did)? Polygamy?

This might not bode well for the Democrats in '16.... However beneficial such rulings may be (in the eyes of some) the people haven't been able to decide about whether they approve of this social change (there has been no referendum) and the electorate might not accept being sidelined in this manner. This might lead to a serious backlash and a Republican victory in '16.

This is the 2nd Roe v Wade of judicial activism. There is nothing remotely in the US constitution which specifies that gay marriage is a protected right. All marriage used to be under the purview of the states.
