Oh, he requested a trade? Oh...but he still gets along with his former teammates, right?
Well, I mean, Luongo requested a trade and he's not antagonized by his fans.

Yes, but considering how Gillis mishandled that situation, fans still treated him well. Lui also took us to the finals, and is the all-time wins leader. For two different teams.

Still,...Kesler had 41 goals, when Luongo took the team to the finals.

Anaheim 3 Dallas 0 after 1 period. Did I fall into an alternate dimension where the Ducks know how to play hockey, or did I just now emerge from an alternate dimension where they didn't?

Santorelli, Horcoff, and Hagelin, and all within 4:26 of each other.

He and Perry had assists on the Hagelin goal.

EDIT: the Santorelli goal was on the power play, so we may be getting that part of the game back, too.

Better now than in May. Not at all would have been better still, but...

We live in a world where Connor McDavid and Jaromir Jagr -- born 24 years, 11 months apart -- are tied in the NHL scoring race at 10 points.

Jagr is also tied with the entire Ducks team in goals. However, he left the game with Colorado with an injury.

As it stands, his 728 NHL goals are three behind Marcel Dionne for fourth place and he was playing his 1,559th game. If he didn't go to Russia for three years, he could be at 1,800+ right now. Howe's record: 1,767.

Intense. Connor is in the top scoring list? Unimaginable, considering the fact I think he is overrated. :p

An up and coming star rising through the ranks and an aging veteran who yet plays like he's still an up and coming star rising through the ranks.

And they'll only meet once the entire season too, on Jan 18, 2016. :p

The Panthers just made it 4-0.

This makes them one of the top scoring teams in the league and one of the best in goal differential.

Also:

St. Louis Blues @StLouisBlues
Martin Havlat & Dainius Zubrus have been invited to St. Louis on professional tryouts

On a side note, Florida lost their shut out but still won 4-1. Luongo looked rather peeved.
