Speaking of brackets, because of the weird way that the NHL schedule is currently listed, I will allow two choices, but first, you must select who you think will win the Eastern Conference: Capitals or Lightning

To be fair, Nashville absolutely tore up the play-offs last year, despite being a Wild Card. After all, who expected them to sweep the Blackhawks of all teams? They gave St. Louis the Blues in the second round, even though to be honest both teams played very well in that round and the one before. And they completely devoured the Ducks in six games. It's a pity that they lost to the Penguins but, let's face it, Pekka Rinne was too good right then.

And they've done well this year, winning the President's Trophy and a good win in the first round against Colorado. So who knows? Maybe they'll bring the Jets crashing down tonight with a game seven win, especially since every game in that series has been back and forth between Nashville and Winnipeg. OK, I'll stop it now. I'll make my predictions after tomorrow night's game.

I was on the Vegas bandwagon when they drafter Fleury. I wanted them to do well and not be a joke of an expansion team. In fact I knew they'd do well unlike everyone at the begining of the season thought. I hopped off when Vegas became TOO good. Congrats on the playoffs Vegas! No shame in losing in the first round to an experienced team like the Kings...yoooooou swept them? Ok then. Well your next opponent is the Sharks a scrappy team that can play pretty damn well...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they choked in 6. Vegas is in the conference finals and they're too good right now. Unlike the Blues of old, Vegas actually plays a real conference.
I like Vegas but I just lost my good feelings for them when the rest of the league hopped on the bandwagon and went full Eagles/Warriors/Seahawks.

I just think Las Vegas is too good right now.

Also if the Preds blow it in 7 I am going to laugh that they lost to the fucking Thrashers.
Seriously though if Atlanta manages to not only pull the win out of their ass but also beat Vegas I will laugh so fucking hard you'd think I was a Habs fan at a home game.

My house is divided, My dad and I are rangers fans, my sister is a bruins fan and my moms a flyers/caps/blackhawks....honestly I can't keep her straight. We all agreed that we'd still cheer for our teams, but Vegas would be the team we all jointly pulled for. Since the Rangers season sucked, I've been pulling for Vegas the whole way.
