I'm hoping the Knights just need to be reinvigorated by a home crowd. They seemed to be feeling the pressure, and kept getting in their own way last night.



Also: what the hell is up with y'all's ice? I've seen more wayward bounces and flouncing pucks in this series than I saw the entire regular season

Though this series will show if he stomped out all of the spiders. True, although it's a question of whether or not Ovi has anyone to back him up or if his team has any depth when he's not on the ice. For example, the Pens have Crosby, but they also have Malkin, Murray, Letang and Guentzel. And probably others that I can't really remember. And yes, I'll stop defending the Penguins when the next round comes along, regardless of whether or not they make it through.

At least they won in OT so we wouldn't have another series going to 2-2, which makes a nice change from the whole "back and forth" thing going on in the other serieses (serii?). They just need one more game and that'll be that, we'll have our first Conference finalist.

If you're wondering, it's a reference to YouTube gamer-turned-sports analyst UrinatingTree, who made that Capitals Legacy of Failure video I brought up a while back. Basically, in his This Week in Sportsball videos, he uses it whenever he's talking about the Chargers, mostly because IIRC their owner Dean Spanos moved the team to Los Angeles, despite all the fans wanting them to stay, because the city of San Diego wouldn't give his team a new stadium. He's since used it to talk about any other time a team from the SD or LA area messed up.

In all honesty, it's actually quite fitting since the San Diego Gulls failed to make the AHL playoffs, the Kings and the Ducks got swept in the first round of the Stanley Cup and the Ontario Reign also lost their first round series in the Calder Cup, this time 3-1 against the Texas Stars.

Pretty much what Tarsonis said. And with the Jets winning 4-1 at the minute, it looks like Nashville would have to either make a big third period comeback or, failing that, tear up games six and seven to make it through. Either way, I agree with you about the Lightning and Vegas.

Same here. Indeed, at the beginning I had the Pens winning in seven games, so there's still a good chance that could happen. In fact, I also had Vegas winning in six and they're 1-0 up at the moment so hopefully I'll be right there at least.
